Steve Bruce! He's got a beachball head, he's got a beachball head he's got a beachball head (sang to the tune of Steve Bruce! He's got a big fat head...)
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

If its alright with everyone, I'm going to continue to think that this picture was taken just after the peno was awarded yesterday (and not before the game, as is most likely)

wasn't pretty at times - but we got the result.

First half very scrappy from both teams.

Got lucky with the pen - kinda feel sorry for the ref and linesman here - in real time, it was very very close and very difficult to call - the ref actually gave the free-kick, linesman gave penalty, so it's easy for the media and people involved to come out and say how did you give a penalty, after you've watched it 20 times in super slow mo.

Credit to spearing for putting the pressure on. Credit to Kuyt who has unreal bottle, especially after the delay before taking it.

Carroll as others have said, looks a bit short of match fitness, but he does look really trim and strong - just lacking a bit of sharpness but that will come and him and suarez could be one hell of a partnership. Suarez, is just ****ing class - sheer quality.

Spearing had a great game - fair play to him for that.

Other than that though, only negatives are things we already know, can't do anything about them till the summer, and we have to address them before next season or we will have the same problems

We are desperate for a left back.

We are desperate for some genuine quality on the wings, specifcally we need to add a threat with some pace.

other than that tho - no complaints with the result.

The only thing I can assume with the linesman giving the penalty is that he thinks Mensah made a second contact with his trailing leg, from the linesmans position I think this is possible. Having seen the video I'm not sure whether there is a second contact or not, but if there is that's much closer to the penalty area than the initial contact.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I can't believe you're seriously asking that question. Whatever any deluded Celtic fan might say I was around when we first started singing it - a long time before they did
