Good News On The Injury Front

    BBC
Liverpool expect injured trio Steven Gerrard, Martin Kelly and Jonjo Shelvey to be back in training next week.
Captain Gerrard was set to be sidelined for a month but could feature at West Brom in the Premier League on 2 April.

Reds first-team coach Steve Clarke said: "They are all improving. Fingers crossed, we will have Martin Kelly and Steven Gerrard back training next week.

"We hope the same for Jonjo Shelvey, who has been out for a long time. Fabio Aurelio is also making good progress."
Gerrard suffered the injury in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 6 February.
Hamstring injuries have sidelined both Kelly and Aurelio while Shelvey underwent a knee operation in February.

The news of the imminent return of several of his squad will come as a timely boost to Reds manager Kenny Dalglish ahead of crucial games against Manchester City at Anfield on 11 April and a trip to Arsenal on 17 April.
Clarke said the returning players will give the rest of the squad a lift going into a key month in their season.

"It will be a difficult month in April with a lot of tough games, but if we can have our full squad ready to go then we'll look forward to the challenge," Clarke added.
The former Chelsea and West Ham assistant was impressed with the manner in which the Merseysiders bounced back from last Thursday's Europa League exit with a 2-0 Premier League win at Sunderland on Sunday that allowed them to further cement sixth place.
"Everybody at the football club was disappointed when we went out of Europe at such an early stage, but I think they bounced back at the Stadium of Light which is a difficult place to go and get a result," Clarke commented.
"The players have proven they can bounce back from disappointments and as everybody in football knows, that's very important."

Right on cue again. I only just posted that a more exciting major double announcement would have been to see gerrard and kelly back for the crucial run in. Yeehaa

Hopefully Gerrard and Kelly will be fit enough to play again soon and will get a good few games before the end of the season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Be good to have him on the bench. Even if he's fully fit, he shouldn't come straight back into a winning team.

If he is available that is where he'll be against WBA. I cannot see of how Kenny would play him so soon with City and Arsenal games coming next.

That's 4 good players we've been without for quite some time. I'm not sure our squad is as bad as some people want us to think.
              Are we winning?

Still crying out for some fresh faces Nige. Bear in mind several players will be sold too.

Kelly should be back too. Club doc gave an interview a couple of weeks back explaining the types of injury him and Aurelio had. Said Kelly should be ok in a few weeks, but they’ll use the International break to give him an extra week off.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

West Brom next then......unbeaten under the King of the LMA. How sweet it would be to inflict his first defeat on him. Losing though would be a sickener.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Our lack of genuine width could play into Roy's hands.

How did we usually do against Fulham? I can't remember them causing us too much problems.
