Lost masher yes...but the torres sale has been balanced out by suarez and carroll in fact with age taken into consideration we should be worth more from that transaction looking at it now.

i think the need for a new stadium holds aur value back hugely.

remember chelsea dont get all the money from a purchase price of a shirt

and also remember to take off sales that would have happened with other names.

also look that the last chelsea income is 190m

i think its loss of income from torres shirts and lack of income from the champ league.

whether it should lead to as big a drop or if the value is correct who knows. remember its only worth what someone wants to pay.

I bet Abramovich will recoup that £50m in shirt sales alone. He'll be a free signing. We might laugh, but there are kids all over Europe who would have worn a Liverpool shirt with Torres on the back.

That's true to an extent (not sure I'd go anywhere near as far as 'free signing'), but you also need to bear in mind how would that compare with them having spent £50m elsewhere? I'd suggest quite poorly, unless he returns to the kind of player he was for us 18 months or more back.

There will be some if he hits the heights he did for us.

But Torres was as big as he was because he played for a massive club. Chelsea are now considered a fairly big club, but they are not even close to touching LFC.

More people buy LFC shirts than Chelsea shirts. If someone like Luis Suarez really took off for us, he'd sell a shed load of shirts as well.

Why would 'kids across europe' buy torres shirts if there not lfc or spanish fans??
U can't tell me Hungarian/German/French kids etc buy torres shirts just because they like toress.
Can't see that at all IMO
