One negative thing about him was his finishing was quite poor he only averaged a goal about every 6 games, he should have had so many more from the positions he got into.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wouldn't exactly call ginger curly hair a positive either.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

When El Tel managed Ingerland, he played him as a right wing-back but told him to stay upfield right on the oppositions full back. When Hoddle came in he asked him to defend & he never looked the same.

Went to watch him for Madrid v Sociedad, but he was injured! The fans loved him there. They called him "The Postman" 'cause he went from box to box & delivered!!!!

My first favourite player growing up. I started to appreciate Fowler more as I got older.

Macca was one of the best players to pull on the red shirt IMO. Tragic that the likes of him and Fowler never won the league with us. He did run his contract down but at least he was open about going to madrid unlike that rat Owen.

Hmm, I though his biggest weakness was his crossing, which is why Uncle Roy moved him centrally. Its at this point he really started destroying defences, with his running and through balls to Fowler.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

So underrated because he was living under the shadow of Giggs. I still think to this day he was better, more clinical & direct at everything he did compared to Giggs

was going to post the same thing, although fair play to giggs still going and is macca just a year older?

The Celtic goal was immense and I always remember the one against Arsenal (2nd goal in the first vid). It was one of the first Liverpool games I went to!

Always forget just how quick he was with the ball at his feet...and without the ball he was a ****ing whippet!

He'd probably cost about £60m in todays market.

I ****ing loved Macca (as a player) when I was a kid. Don't see such players anymore though sadly.
