It is tough to compare them as Henry won 5 trophies, played 8 years for Gunners and had much better supporting cast than Luis.

Both top players but need more time before Luis can be properly evaluated and compared to Henry.

I think it also depends on the tactics deployed. Suarez is far better at dribbling and getting in among the action. Henry was lightning quick and had a huge stride but didn't hustle and bustle like Suarez.

With a higher line, I'd say Suarez is by far the better player.

Plus I'd say Suarez's World Cup handball was far better than Henry's

Henry was the best player in the PL by a mile when he joined. He was a big part of why the league moved so far so quickly IMHO. He gave it the glamor and made it acceptable for top foreign players to move here.

Yeah he was a £14m winger when he joined them from Juve, took at least a season before Wenger started playing him up front and he then blossomed into the phenomenal player we remember.

Henry was a Juve reject winger when he joined Arsenal. He was not the best player in the Premier League at all. Utter nonsense! He ended up the the biggest name in the Premier League, but to say he joined as the best player is just plain wrong. He wilted at Juve, was stuck out on the wing and couldnt adapt to the Italian game. He struggled at first with the Premier League too and it took him ages to score his first goal.

Suarez hit the ground running in a badly average team, Henry grew to be Arsenal's most important player and probably the second best player in the world at his peak.

Henry scored 26 goals in his first season at Arsenal (17 in the league). People tend to exaggerate how long he took to settle in.

terry henry was awesome. playing out wide like a winger and then he could draw defenders out of position, take a run at the empty space. not too dissimilar to suarez in some ways.

Nah, the PL was already attracting top foreign players years before Henry. Klinsmann was probably the watershed and Guillit, Vialli, Zola, Bergkamp, Overmars etc were all playing here before Henry.

Klinsmann was the first. I was at his debut in this country, it was unfeasibly exciting to see the likes of him and Ilie Dumitrescu playing over here.
