Tbh, it would take the pressure off BR if Arsenal aquire Suarez, not many lfc fans would expect us to finish top 4 then, and the sale of Suarez wouldn't be down to the manager so he'd be safe from any blame.

Plus, what's he going to do, go back to a club like Swansea, after giving up his lfc contract ?

    I doubt that very much.

I'd like to think though, that he'd back himself to show Arsenal and Suarez! by finishing above them, and leaving them without Champions league football, Suarez would be their problem then!

I very much doubt the club would undermine BR in that way. If Suarez is sold I think it will be because BR has agreed to the sale, even if that is reluctantly. When BR joined he said he has the final say on all transfers and I see no reason to think that will not be the case here.

Don't agree with that. If you are a manager at a top club like Liverpool and being paid millions in wages every year then it is also up to you to find out what kind of clauses that exist in every players contract at the club.

If you don't like what you discover in a contract then you try to negotiate a new one. If you don't then it is like you accept the contract and the situation.

You can't be so naive that you think others won't have messed it up.

Rafa's mate and biographer Rory Smith reckons Higuain to Napoli is done - giving Real another £30m or so burning a hole in their pocket. We'll see if Real really do want him, I should imagine. I can't remember much if anything in the way of evidence that Real are even interested in him.

As if Rodgers would walk. The biggest job he was ever likely to get and he'd enhance his reputation by spitting the dummy about a transfer? Pfffft.

Hopefully this will force Madrid's hand into making their own bid so we can hurry up and get him sold.
