Of course it's media hypocrisy, but that really helps little is what I'm saying. We or Suarez can't excuse himself with that if he does something stupid/controversial.

And nodoby is hammering him, or at least I can't see who is? I know the "some" really is a nice avoidable way to say you, but my point was merely that it will get focus right now no matter how big or small, and he needs to control his temper now.

It's not the first time he is in focus for something controversial, and if he keeps going on like that he is going to be his own worst enemy when the focus is constantly on him.

I'm hardly shy in saying what I think. If I thought you I'd have said it! I just meant generally, theres a few changing attitudes and a lot of criticisms whether its on forums, twitter or in person which is sad in my opinion.

He did nothing wrong last night, he cant not go for a ball just because he's in the spotlight. Dont buy in to the hype.

looked that way but IMO his eyes were firmly fixed on the ball, clumsy no doubts and looked bad in slow mo, but completely unintentional for me.

IMO It was a wild /over excited swing from a player desperate to make an impact on the game. Would have been headline stuff Suarez scoring on his first game back after all the stuff that has gone on, i think him storming down the tunnel after the game, was a bit of an insight into how disappointed he was with not taking the chances he had.

Sort of agree, i think the nudge was intentional, he saw Parker was favourite to header the ball coming down...gave him a nudge and then went to hit it thinking Parker would be further away than he was.

The nudge is typical Suarez for me, he's a crafty little bugger..

We see similar types of accidental contact (he had no intention of hurting Parker whatsoever) all the time and no one really gives the ****e after the match is finished unless you are Suarez of course.

it looks more like tap because he sort of pulls out. he full on didnt kung fu kick him like its been suggested.

parker goes down likes hes been chopped in half but we all play five a sides that have rougher tackles than some of this premiership lark. some of these players must be soft as ****. i wonder how they would fare in a sunday league match.

the eye gouge is no mourinho effort either but luis seems to find himself in this sort of situation probably more than he should.

The problem is people are just looking for any excuse, better he doesn't get involved in incidents like that to give them that excuse. He definitely didn't mean it although it was very clumsy & could have turned out a lot worse.

I agree with most of what you're saying but can't follow how you think he should avoid incidents like that when you recognise he didn't intend to kick him. Agree it would help to keep away from any controversy but how can he possibly stop doing what he didn't intend doing?

Suarez - United abuse will spur me on

Luis Suarez will use abuse from Manchester United fans as inspiration on Saturday.

The Liverpool striker is due to face the Red Devils this weekend for the first time since sparking a race row in October last year.

A Premier League fixture at Anfield saw the Uruguayan accused of racist abuse by United defender Patrice Evra.

An independent regulatory commission found him guilty of the charge and he had to serve an eight-match ban.

Suarez marked his return from suspension on Monday as he stepped off the bench during Liverpool's tame goalless draw with Tottenham.

His next outing could come at Old Trafford in what promises to be a tense meeting with title-chasing United.

Suarez is aware that his presence is unlikely to go down well with the home support, but plans to use taunts at him as added motivation.

"I was not depressed at all," he told Radio Sport 890 in his homeland.

"I knew what I did and there is a kind of football law that says 'what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch and that's the end of the story'.

"I know against Man Utd it is going to be tense because I'm going to face Evra. But I'm used to having fans whistle at me.

"I hope nothing unusual happens. I'll have to forget what happened for that moment.

"I do know Man Utd fans are going to try to make me feel uncomfortable. But I have to tell them, they are going to spur me on if they whistle at me."

"I know that people are viewing me differently in England,'' Suarez continued.

"For example, against Tottenham, when I was doing the warm-up, there were three cameras pointing at me. Even when I was sitting on the bench there were many cameras on me. I feel that people are watching me. I have to understand that - it's the price I have to pay because of the ban.

"I have to be more careful: I like to protest to the referees but I will have to control myself because all the people are watching me."

Suarez also praised the Liverpool support

"I have to thank Liverpool fans, because they supported me on the pitch but also on the streets," he said.

"I feel so comfortable at Liverpool because of them. They love me."
