Suarez is a wold class player no doubt. Unless he has a Gerrard-esque u-turn I'd sell him. Reina is just waiting on Barca and frankly he has had 2 good months in 2 years. He needs some real competition for his place. I'd be going for Begovic anyway
I don't think you can doubt Suarez's effort on the field. He always gives 110% and even if he suggests playing for Madrid, I just cannot see him giving any less. Talk of how well we did without him is very misleading. We had absolutely nothing to play for in those last few games, and did our usual trick of playing well when there is absolutely nothing to play for. Most of the teams we played were absolute rubbish too. Yes Coutinho was great, but he was glaringly absent in the two games against the half decent teams at the end of the season, Chelsea and Everton. I'm afraid the little run we went on at the end has glossed over the rest of the season. Suarez is crucial to us and top 4.

Its ok having 3 or 4 very good players in your team, but you also need an edge to put you over the top in tight games. A player who is going to produce a little bit of magic or a brilliant finish where most can not. That was Gerrard, Torres, Suarez. We've been very lucky in that we got over Torres quickly with Suarez, and it turned out he was even better. But there is absolutely no guarantee that we can do that again. I would prefer to have one game changer in Suarez, that 2 or 3 good players who simply don't have that same spark. The one Messi gives Barca, the one Ronaldo gives Real, the one Silva gives City, Van Persie gives utd, Bale gives Spurs etc. Without that, we will struggle.

We all have Torres to thank for that.

He was my favorite player by far and personally I was so hurt when, where and how he left.

I'll miss Luis when the day comes and he leaves but it will be nothing like Torres.

Looks like I precipitated an outpouring of grief. With god's help we'll get through this.

Speaking of off topic, the warrior thread needs some adjustments I reckon

On Rafa, Peter Hooton said he was/is considered by club figures as some kind of Pol Pot figure, hence why he didn't get a look in.

And yeah I agree with the above stuff re Torres. That really hurt, if Suarez leaves it won't hurt as much as that, I'm immune to it now, it's unlikely in our current guise we will get much loyalty from top foreign players.

I hadn't heard that but I'd guessed something along those lines, hence my comment about the negatives he'd have brought.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

How many Ds did you go for in the end?
                          Oh I don't know.
