Suarez is a wold class player no doubt. Unless he has a Gerrard-esque u-turn I'd sell him. Reina is just waiting on Barca and frankly he has had 2 good months in 2 years. He needs some real competition for his place. I'd be going for Begovic anyway
Oh come on, if every one of our squad was offered a chance to play for Madrid, how many do you think we could count as still being committed then, 3 ? 4?

I'm of the opnion that if he were to stay, he'd still give his all.

If we spend the money wisely at least we will have our full squad available from the start of the season, which could turn out to be very important.

and who knows how many more games he'd be likely to miss next season due to 'forced absence'

Of all the players, the way he was backed he should have the decency to stick around for one more season. I seriously don't buy the 'he deserves to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world' line with him. Serious lack of right mentality in my opinion

I can't disagree with that, it's dissapointing, but he's a footballer after all, a SA footballer at that, i defy any of them to be any different when Barca or Madrid come calling, he could have been more discreet about the whole thing though, maybe he now realises that, i don't know.

I won't hold that against him.

Sarb's already made up his mind that he's going.

I can't agree with this because I don't have a clue what the club promised if they promised something when he signed the new deal.

Both the club and the player will try to get the fans on their side. Both of them will lie if they need to.

                  IMO.

I'm pretty sure he'll go yes Nigey. Regardless of whether he stays or goes, I'll always be of the opinion that he got huge backing from all associated with the club and his comments were a slap in the face and an insult to all of them. You can scan back this thread. Love him, his passion, his ability. But for me, he is just a letdown

I think he should just have been honest. Still there would have been some who had an issue with him doing that, but I think a lot more would have understood. His comments were laughable

It's football though, if a local player like Gerrard was prepared to go and play for Maureens Chavs, and he was untill something changed his mind last minute, then Suarez wanting to play for Madrid is no shock.

I agree with you that there is PR from both sides and the fans don't always get the truth ie Torres, but in this case it's simply a case of Luis wanting play for Real Madrid, nothing more.

It's a team game rather have a Team able to score goals from all over than be reliant on one player,Suarez stays good he leaves so be it

For some reason, even though I think he's a much better player than Torres there doesn't seem to be a big a reaction from the fans about him leaving. Me included, just feel more nothingness about it! I think we'd be much, much better if he stays but with Torres I remember feeling sick when he left.

I agree. It's a good sign in my opinion, it seems the mojority of the fans are positive about Rodgers revolution.
