“Lewandowski will definitely not go to Bayern in 2013,” said Watke in an interview with the German sports paper Bild. “This is final.” link
i wonder if Bayern will look to Suarez now ?
What ever happens will be a win-win for LFC so why all the mass hysteria?!
If he goes we get £50 million, if he stays we keep an amazing player - we cannot possibly lose...

Did you say that when we replaced Torres with Carroll?

If we lose Suarez we lose a game changing edge. No matter how much money we have there is little hope of us replacing him with as good a player. We are shopping for potential as the proven best players want CL. We just keep buying potential, something we've been doing for years. It doesn't get you top 4.

We won a higher percentage of games last season without Suarez than with him. And yes if he goes we won't replace him with one player but with 2 or 3 - this means we have a better squad anyway so we win again...

If we lose Suarez we lose a player who no longer wants to play for us. You keep players who aren't 100% committed (and I'll include Pepe Reina in that) then you won't ever get anywhere. I'd rather have 11 players on the pitch who are 100% committed and giving their all.
Suarez is a wold class player no doubt. Unless he has a Gerrard-esque u-turn I'd sell him. Reina is just waiting on Barca and frankly he has had 2 good months in 2 years. He needs some real competition for his place. I'd be going for Begovic anyway

Selling Suarez will be a loss, no doubt, whether we invest the money wisely is an unknown, it's not a guaranteed win, that will have to be proven over time.
