Both really mate.Originally posted by Nigey View PostYou mean the FA single handedly ruined it for us.
Suarez was completely stupid doing what he did but the ban that the FA have handed out is excessive. Three would've been fair.
As others have said, they're just inconsistent and seem to make things up as they go along.

We definitely had our reputation damaged over the racism affair. In part that was over how we handled it, but the fact remains that he caused that incident with the way he behaved.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI don't really set it as tarnishing the club's reputation. I know that's the accepted wisdom trotted out every time, but in reality I don't see or hear anyone blaming the club for it or that we've now suddenly turned into a club of scumbags. It's just Luis Suarez - people have their opinions on him and that's it.
He should've got three games and that's it. He did wrong, he should be punished accordingly and move on.
But instead he gets 10 games by those absolute cunts and people want him sold. Meh. Totally disagree.
Big controversies like this definitely tarnish the reputation of the club IMO.
I personally can see why he deserved more than the standard 3 game ban too. It was a sickening act, completely shocking to see, and one that should be discouraged. What kind of message does that send to everyone watching? You have to be pretty sick to do something like that IMO. Biting someone FFS!
But of course the 10 games is far too extreme. I'm guessing around 3 games will have been added due to his past misbehaviour. We'll find out tomorrow.
Regardless all I'm saying is there is only one person to blame here, Luis Suarez. I think people are too reluctant to pin any blame on him at all. Why? Because he's ****ing brilliant? Nah, it doesn't matter IMO. He still ****ed us over with his actions (and I'm betting he will again one day) and he should pay for it.

Yeah that's what I mean. I didn't expect him to be absolved but 10 matches, they're having a ****ing laugh.Originally posted by Lee View PostBoth really mate.

Its very, very simple.
Keep Suarez (for 1 more year maximum) have him available for the whole season, invest £20m plus player sales and maybe, maybe sneak in to the top 4.
Keep Suarez, have him miss 6 games, then play catch up with his match fitness for another 2-3 invest £20m plus player sales and come in 5 or so points off the top 4 because of a slow start and Suarez leaves in the summer because we haven't qualified for the CL.
Or
Sell Suarez for circa £35-40m add the £20m and player sales and reshape and strengthen the whole squad across 2 windows with the bulk of it done in the summer and more than likely have a much stronger chance of getting back into the top 4.
He's just 1 ****ing footballer, we won the CL and FA Cup with Baros and Cisse ffs and won jack **** else until last years Carling Cup from 2002-2012 with Fowler, Owen, Torres and Suarez in our sideThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

So you believe that this will be the second time ever that a club will win an appeal?Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI reckon the ban will be reduced to 6-7 games, and the 10 game ban is merely posturing to show tough (or what a bunch of premature ejaculatory dicks) they are.
I also expect the club to tear apart the report when it comes out.
Over 500 lost appeals tells you that it is a must bigger chance that he would get a 12-15 game ban if we appeal.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

This is the issue I have.
Yes, he bit him. Yes, he was stupid. But where's the consistency in their decision making. There was NOTHING career threatening about what he did and a 3 match ban should have been enough. To add 7 matches on reeks of them wanting to make headlines.
my dad just text me the same thing! - should have broke his leg - 3 game ban end!
ah well - i feel that's the end of suarez at liverpool now - yes he's brought it on himself, but he will feel completley victimised by the media and fa and probably just thinks **** it.
he'll have an offer from a top side playing champions league, and he will prob take iti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
