It's not a PL ban, it's a domestic ban. Championship is still a domestic league. What good is loaning him out to another team to serve his ban gonna do for us anyway? He still won't be playing for us.

His ban at Ajax lasted from 24th of November 2010 to the 28th of January 2011, and he made his debut for us on February 2nd.

Europa League/Champions League ISN'T domestic competition. Football League's are domestic, ie Premier League, Championship, La Liga, Eredivise, Bundesliga etc.

There's some rule preventing that anyway, even loaning him abroad. They were discussing it on RAWK and it has to be proven that the player isn't avoiding their punishment (or something like that).

We couldn't loan him to a Serie B team for example.

So here's my new plan.

We loan him to my local side St. Patricks Athletic who are not far into their league season now. His ban will carry over and he'll be back in time for pre season plus I get to watch him in the stadium of light inchicore for a fiver or thereabouts.
