Loyalty doesn't exist in the game, gutted to see him go if true as he really has put the club through the ringer... even if he is world class. I owes us another season but doesn't look like that's going to happening.

We forgive Suarez alot of things because he plays for LFC, everyone else seems to hate his guts. If Suarez goes to Madrid..with his personality i think i may end up disliking him... a lot

Watershed moment for LFC, says I. If Suarez leaves, which I think he will, it's highly symbolic for where we stand in the rankings. No longer will we be able to attract players of such talent easily. Jovetic? Higuain? Forget about it. Top's Law dictates that top players will want to play for top clubs, and currently we're not one of them. We can't offer the wages or trophies. Four years out of the Champions League and no European football at all next season. Serious question marks over the ability to qualify for the CL for 2014/2015 (and the one after that...). It is looking very grim.

Suarez leaving could galvanise the rest of the squad and if the money is spent well he'll be forgotten about soon enough. On the other hand it could easily go the other way.

Pivotal summer for Rodgers and LFC.

Ronaldo left Man Utd to go to Real and they're way ahead of us. They'll always be at the top of the game as will Barcelona.

/cue huge traffic to the LFC website. They should be grateful for the advertising.

Lucky for United that when Ronaldo left they were in a much stronger and progressive position than we are at the moment.

Disappointed by that but it is what it is.

We need to make sure we get for him his full value, if he goes, and do that as fast as possible so we can sort out our new signings.
Agree. Time to put up or shut up. If he wants to go get it sorted ASAP

The thing is with the issue about how he has been treated in the media, is that for a large part of it he has brought it on himself, and in the first instance done a disservice by the club in the way they handled the case, but in the bitting incidence he is completely at fault himself. Yes, he is getting a though time by the media but that is what's to be expected from a high profile player and especially in England.

Secondly he hardly had the best reputation on these matters before coming here, so it's really a question of someone rather infamous continuing so it's hardly a surprise for anyone.

Of course this is a come and get me plea to Real, and for footballing reasons I can completely understand why and I understand why he is using the family and the treatment as an excuse.

As stated earlier, I'm not really that fussed about loosing Suarez if it should come to that. We will be loosing a very prolific individual, but I reckon we will get a better team out of it 6 months down the line. We might even get a striker where you are not wondering when the next time will be, that he will do something incredibly stupid and we are set to loose him for a huge amount of games again. Tbh. I don't think we are in a position where we can afford to have our best player out for 8 games each season due to suspensions, and we can replace him and get a better team out of it IMHO.

It's not the end of the world loosing Suarez, although we would be loosing an interesting person at the club that's fun to follow. We just need to get the business done early so we are not hit by another panick attack like when we sold Torres.

It isn't only the signings we must get right. FSG must also get in top class people from top to bottom.

I will never understand why we turned down Van Gaal. We must get in someone like him that know how to build up the club from top to bottom. Someone that have connections all over the world.

We don't have that at the moment.

Certainly not if that 59 quid is being funneled into Judas/Traitor/Miscreant's % of the transfer fee.*

If the price is right he is gone, simple as that really. Seems to me that BR is prepared to sell him as long as he can use all the funds raised, and as much as we might not like that decision we have got to back him I suppose.
