I Madrid do want Suarez (I'm not 100% convinced he's their primary target) and Bale (who I assume is) and link them with Ronaldo, then they're gonna have to start playing with a ball each. Ronaldo and Bale will try a shoot on sight competition and Saurez won't want to give them the ball.
Added to this the rumours that Falco will end up at Madrid after his money spinning season in Monaco then I think Suarez should really think if this is indeed what he wants to do in the prime years of his career.“Me having no education. I had to use my brains.”

I'm really in two minds about this. Obviously if he wants to leave then he should leave and I think we can strengthen the first team and possibly be a better side without Suarez. One of the big problems might be attracting other top players without anyone of his quality already here? Gerrard isn't the player he was and Coutinho and Sturridge haven't really had chance to establish themselves properly yet so there isn't anybody who might attract other top players to the club like Suarez or Torres before him.

If its 40 mil and another player, we could negotiate for essien. use the 40 mil to buy another replacement.Originally posted by Myo View PostI agree with your first assessment in regard to him playing during the Capello era in regard to consistency and ball retaining, but he has improved quite abit in regard to that as he has gotten older (and mind you, with less playing times)...
The second comment in regard to sturridge and couts running directly and doing all the other stuff is true, but aren't we also trying to strike a balance across the field? ie. Suarez does all the same as well, but IF he does need to go, who else do you think we have in mind that could do just as well and lead the fwd line? Hugs has improved quite a bit in terms of decision making and does tend to play off the shoulder quite a bit...if we are seeking to address that balance, i can see no one else that can fit that criteria and is available and would be compatible playing to sturridge's and cout's strengths... that is my opinion anyhow...

I think the footballing landscape has changed significantly in the last few years, when Torres left we were a team who had had a bad season and failed to make the CL, since then we've had a few more seasons like that and are now a team who regularly don't make the CL. Add to that the clubs out there who are able to pay stupid money in wages and transfer fees I see us struggling to get a high profile name. I feel now that we are going to have to look at players who are a level below or aren't as high profile. I think that there are good players who fall into that category (Coutinho) but we have to be clever (and probably lucky) to get them.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostI'm really in two minds about this. I can understand why Suarez wants to leave, and if he does go I for one wouldn't be angry with him. I think the best thing though would be to convince Suarez to ride out the storm, if we can get him to keep his head down a bit and the team have a good season I think we could hang on to him long term. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Absolutely ridiculous.. So Bale is more than twice a player Luis isOriginally posted by Reece View PostJust seen on Twitter that the Times reckon Real will splash:
£40m on Suarez
£85m on Bale
It is either 40m+ a player or 50m in cash.Originally posted by gentingfrmhell View PostIf its 40 mil and another player, we could negotiate for essien. use the 40 mil to buy another replacement.
I hope we stand firm on that or no deal.
Also we need to give them deadline, if they are genuinely interested in him, and earlier the better.

Get the feeling we've learned the lesson. Looks like we're in for young, clever footballers with a brain. Not an English name among them, which says it all about player development in England really*.Originally posted by Mostar View PostWe have to be smart on this and as we cannot do another Carroll...

What I meant was we cannot wait until late in the transfer window when the choices are limited and the price of players goes up substantially more.Originally posted by BrooklynRed View PostGet the feeling we've learned the lesson.
