I think there is a bit of that but I think that it's also a realisation that you can't ever be reliant on one or two players in a team or squad capable of winning you a game. We seem to be building towards a 'team' comprising about 4 or 5 players who could do something, score a goal, create something out of nothing etc. For too long we've relied on Gerrard and Torres or Gerrard and Suarez.

Yeah I agree but I still find it strange, I don't have anything against him for wanting to leave, he's clearly good enough for the CL. I can't seem to work out why the feeling is different from when Torres left, we all love Luis but maybe Torres broke a lot of usOriginally posted by Sarb View PostI think there is a bit of that but I think that it's also a realisation that you can't ever be reliant on one or two players in a team or squad capable of winning you a game. It's a good sign in my opinion, it seems the mojority of the fans are positive about Rodgers revolution.
The fans know that if the results isn't good enough then the manager get sacked.
They are getting used to that Liverpool FC isn't the special club anymore.
New times and new fans.

I think you might be right.

I think a part of it is 'once bitten, twice shy'. Also at the time Torres left it wasn't that long after we'd been brilliant and nearly won the title, and at the same time we'd not long come out of the horrific Hodgson era, so we were at an incredibly low ebb - although Kenny coming back lifted us obviously.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostFor some reason, even though I think he's a much better player than Torres there doesn't seem to be a big a reaction from the fans about him leaving. We've come to accept our mediocrity for now, whereas back then it was so new, but at the same time most of us now feel encouraged and excited by what Rodgers is striving to do.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Was that because he was going to the Chavs though? Like your bird running off with one of your neighbours, there's no out of sight, out of mind as you'd see them all the time.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostFor some reason, even though I think he's a much better player than Torres there doesn't seem to be a big a reaction from the fans about him leaving. If you read my posts then I don't blame anyone because I don't know the truth.Originally posted by Sarb View PostWhy are you having a pop at the club over the Luis Suarez transfer saga? I seriously don't get it.
I don't blame the club or Suarez.
If Suarez leaves then I don't care. We will replace him. I won't blame him if he leaves. I won't blame the club if he leaves.Stop the cyberhate

Yeah I agree with that, Torres was the first hero of the fans to leave probably since Owen which was 2004 so we had a long time. Suarez for many replaced Torres so it's still fresh in the memory and its easier to just sigh than be too bothered.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI think a part of it is 'once bitten, twice shy'. Yeah I think so at the time with the great rivalry we had with them, it was us against them on the biggest stage almost year in year out.Originally posted by fah-q View PostWas that because he was going to the Chavs though? Unfortunately right now we don't have a footballing rivalry. Everton and United will always be there but I enjoyed what we had with Chelsea, especially because we came out on top a lot

Coutinho is an excellent player but as long as we don't play in the CL it is a big risk that he will leave.
That is just the way it is.
I have already said what I believe happened but it is just my opinion. One fans opinion.
I believe the club and Suarez
that we wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted to leave after the 2012-13 season if he signed a new deal. That is the reason that he signed it IMO.
I won't blame the club and I won't blame the player.
I won't even be surprised if Suarez agent talked to a few clubs last season.

Or maybe it's because no one player is bigger than the club, especially at a special club like Liverpool. To be honest, I find pining and crying after players rather embarrassing and small time, if he goes so what, we carry on supporting our club and the players that are here.Originally posted by Arn View PostWell, I think we the fans have get used to all the lies and PR that we simply don't care that much anymore.
