Can't blame Suarez for wanting to leave a mid-table club to be a starter at a team that has a chance of winning both the CL and their own league too.

For some reason I do feel we may have priced Madrid out of a move though.
Doesn't really matter though what Madrid have said, it's about respect for the club. And this constant chatter about his move is highly disrespectful to the club. He could easily say nothing like bale, and then go.

I don't begrudge him a move, but do it with a bit more class. And Madrids interest in Bale is very true. Zidane and Modric making more comments today, they want him, he just seems to either be doing his transfer with respect and behind closed doors Or he ain't going.

I don't care if Suarez goes once the fee is appropriate, what i do care about is orchestrating a move through the media... which many players do every year.

It's a matter of respect for the club, fair play to Bale.
Bale is probably sunning himself on a beach somewhere whilst Luis is facing the media all the time in the build up to the CC. I am sure there would be so many different headlines if they swapped summer schedules.

Very true about Bale and Suarez, but if Bale could easily blab to the British media, sure he's the golden boy.

Press with naturally ask questions and exaggerate comments, but if he just shut up and just let it happen i'd have lot more respect for him. Personally i think it undermines the club.

IMO he's a genius footballer but not the smartest guy in the world.

But Bales agent could very well be putting stories in the press if they really wanted to.

IMO Bale is remaining quiet, he may very well want to go and eventually go. but him staying silent is putting Spurs in a very strong position to negiotiate, whereas as Suarez comes across bit more desperate and IMO it's undermines us as a club and in regards to negotiating.

As i said i have zero problems with any player as good as Suarez wanting to leave to play at a better level, he deserves that. Just do it with a bit more class is all and have some respect for the club and fans that have supported him when everyone else was starting fires and pointing fingers.

If he carries on he could burn his bridges with LFC and the supporters... or maybe he wants to?

It's the summer, the press are looking for stories to see papers and advertising space in, he'll be bombarded with questions about us and whatever he says or doesn't will be spun in whatever way the press want to show it as.

He should be less vocal but it's hard to know exactly what he has said and what he hasn't as they'll piece comments together to get a story or read into things that haven't been said when a question is put across.

Sorry Shaggy I posted something similar before reading your post.

You mean Bale's agent who declared he would listen to offers from RM?

You might have missed it because it was pushed away as a minor story on the BBC website because the same day the man the press love to hate said it would be difficult to turn RM down - that was headlines for 2 days.

No doubts the press are parasites but the less he says the better for all concerned IMO.

I know was at end of May but no a peep from Bale himself and that's rare.

Maybe bale will start talking **** and his agent will start responding to the calls of madrid, zindane, modric etc but i don't care about him and would much rather that our contracted players show little more respect for the club.

How hard is it for him to say "I'm an LFC player. I won't talk about other clubs". Not difficult. He just talks too much. Now Cavani maybe going Madrid, Suarez appears to be back tracking. He probably thought Madrid would get him cheaper than 40m but that isn't going to happen

                        exactly

Will be very interesting if Madrid sign Cavani instead and Suarez has to stay at LFC. Hopefully he hasn't burned his bridges at that stage. IMO Suarez is a much better player than Cavani & Madrid be mad to choose Cavani over him. Still a very good player though Cavani.

                          Funny you should say that......

Zinedine Zidane says Gareth Bale should tell Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave if he feels it is the right time to move on.

The Welshman has been linked with a big-money switch this summer after a sparkling Premier League campaign when he was crowned Player of the Year.

Real Madrid are interested in signing Bale and Zidane, sporting director at the Santiago Bernabeu, has reiterated that they would not be afraid to spend heavily to secure his services.

But the Frenchman also thinks that Bale could speed up the process by speaking to his club bosses and requesting a departure.

"I think Real Madrid have made their admiration of Gareth Bale very clear - and it has been made clear that we would not be put off by the cost of the player," Zidane told the Sunday People.

"But if Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave."

Tottenham's failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League increased the speculation about Bale's future and his agent recently refused to rule out a move to Spain.

However, Bale has always been quick to declare how happy he is at White Hart Lane and has previously spoken of how much he enjoyed playing under Andre Villas-Boas last term

They seem desperate to sign him, he has been very quiet about the whole thing. I'm sure Madrid would love bale to come out saying he wants out etc but for the moment Bale has been very respectful to Spurs... whether that changes we'll see.

I think Spurs have priced them out of a move for Bale (£85m Ha!) and we have done the same for Suarez. They're now trying to get the players to nudge the price down by generally being ****s.

Bet they thought they could get the pair for about £80m - Don't be surprised to see Bale start umm'ing and ahh'ing when he's back from Holiday.

Suarez is from South America and his biggest goal have probably always been to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona. It would be a dream move for him IMO.

Bale is from Wales and his biggest goal if someone asked him ten years ago would probably be to play for a top PL club and not Real or Barcelona.

If he had a choice between playing for Spurs, Real or Man U then IMO he would pick Man U.
