I wouldn't believe Daily Mail quotes to be accurate at all. They've all got the same slant and it smacks of sensationalism.

What's your point ? If Cavani does it then it's OK and acceptable for all players to publicly advertise themselves ?Originally posted by Arn View PostWTF!!!!!

And as for your comment about hunting Suarez down, go **** yourself. Maybe you think what Luis has been saying is charming but I and most fans of this club find it disrespectful that an individual who has dragged this clubs name through the mud recently and still been given unconditional loyalty and support by the cub and it's fans has decided to publicly whore himself rather than doing the right thing and conducting his business privately.
Luis wants to join Real Madrid, that's fine I understand that, what I and many others don't like is his method of doing it.

All I've seen is him say that he wouldn't mind playing for a bigger club.
Players want to win trophies and he's a CL player. There's only so long we can keep him here with no european football at all struggling in the middle of the table.
I think next season will change that which is why I would ideally prefer that he gives us another season. But it is what it is. If he goes I won't hold a grudge. The times they are a changin'.

What method?
All he done is answering some questions and the English media have then twisted it to make him look as bad as possible.
I don't believe the English media, if you do then it is no problem. It is your choice.
He hasn't said anything disrespectful. All he said is that Real Madrid is a big club.Stop the cyberhate

I think that would send out mixed messages - flirt with a club and if we want to retain you, we'll reward you with a new contract. Nah, he's under contract and from what we can gather, it's a pretty decent one too. If we force him to stay he's already on to a decent thing.Originally posted by Arn View PostWe should offer him a new deal. Would be interesting to see his reaction. Maybe he even would sign it.

He will only have two years left on that contract next summer if he stay. That means that the player got more power and the club less.Originally posted by Bender View Posthe already signed a new deal last season iirc,he doesn't need a new deal.
Offer him a five year deal. Then he would still be worth £40m+ next summer if he sign it.
With only two years left then we would be forced to sell him on the cheap next summer, say £20m instead of £40m+.
To have him at the club with less than two years left on the contract is something we can't risk.Stop the cyberhate
