Luis Suarez now an Arsenal priority with Gunners readying new £35m bid
Arsenal are set to follow up on their initial offer for Luis Suarez with a second bid of £35million, according to reports.
The Gunners were initially knocked back by Liverpool after their opening £30m offer, but are expected to return to the table after the Uruguayan’s recent radio interview where he admitted he was flattered by the north Londoners’ interest.
According to Goal.com, the Reds forward has now become the Gunners’ main transfer priority, following the complications that have arisen from the Gonzalo Higuain negotiations with Real Madrid
However, as if complicating the matter of the Higuain transfer was not enough, Madrid are also keen on gazumping Arsenal in their pursuit of Suarez, with Spanish reports saying that Carlo Ancelotti will offer £39.5 million to land the striker.
As well as adding Suarez to his team for next season, Arsene Wenger has identified QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar as his new No. 1.Comment
