Buying of Luis Alberto from Barca B and Aspas that most people never heard of until now is the sign that the club is trying exactly that.Originally posted by SlovenianKopite View Postaye, but lets look at the bright aspect of borrusia's rebulding - lucas barrios, one of the best strikers in europe at the time, who was sold to make way for the then rather unproven lewandowski, hopefully someting similar will happen here, and other players will step up, and also we use the money we get wisely.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Maybe the whole 'The press are making my life a misery' is not really the truth and was just said to soften the blow for a move to Madrid. If that falls through then the real situation could be that he really want's to get a move to a club in the CL and one he thinks will challenge quicker than we will??

If the move to Real M falls thru he'll give us one more year and then who knows.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, he's totally career driven, and tbh, i believe (rightly or wrongly) that he's come to the same conclusion Torres did, and that is with all things considered, it will take LFC years to get back to being any sort of football powerhouse again, if we ever do.Originally posted by Chazza View PostMaybe the whole 'The press are making my life a misery' is not really the truth and was just said to soften the blow for a move to Madrid. So, he thinks one more season at LFC is a season wasted, as the ultimate battle this club is looking to win, won't be won in his time here even if he stayed longer.

Your posts kill me off man!
Yeah that's how I feel about him too. He can get ****ed for all I care, don't want him at the club anymore he's dragging this bollocks out for too long now.
Would rather we just took 50 - 60 mill for him and ****ed him off. He won't be as worshipped anywhere else as much as he is here, he'll regret it just as Torres did the mercenary cunts.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. He wants out but only to a big foreign club. He will not move to a premiership club. I guarantee it. Stop believing twisted quotes and the press who want to milk it.
So would I. And how the **** would Barrett know, given that Luis is in Uruguay and hardly is best pals with the UK journo establishment? He's just making that out of that quote yesterday, same as everyone else.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostApparently Tony Barrett in the Times says he's willing to move to Arsenal. Id be shocked tbh.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Doesn't have to of come direct from Suarez though, & its feasible that it came from contacts at LFC. Suarez's agent met with the club a day or two ago didn't he.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostSo would I. It's not the only way though. We need to take some calculated risks and pay top dollar for certain players. This team really is not that far off.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostTbh the only way we will become a powerhouse again is if FFP is enforced and i can't see it."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Sound words as ever Mostar but its certainly a bit depressing at presentOriginally posted by Mostar View PostIt takes time to fix the damage done by previous set of owners and tons of bad buys that we have done over last 4,5 years.
The progress is evident and imo we are moving in the right direction but there is no doubt that things will not get better over night.
One of the teams we are trying to mimic now Borussia Dortmund was in terrible shape not long time ago but they recognized that with shrewd buys and slowing adding a piece by piece they can turn the corner and we will need to do the same.
Yes it is true that we are dealing with catch 22 here (We cannot get in CL unless we get quality footballers and quality footballers for the most part won't come unless we play in CL) and that our best players can't wait indefinitely to see us competing for top honors but we have no other choice but approach this methodically and systematically as we are not own by Sugar daddies.
It will take what will take, which is fine by me under given circumstances as long as the signs of improvement are clearly visible year by year.
I will always blame Moores and Parry.

Why would he be willing to go to Arsenal? Makes absolutely no ****ing sense. It has to be bollocks. But I also refuse to believe that he would go to another premiership club after all the support the fans and club have given him. There is literally no reason to waste our time backing these footballers to the hilt and making ourselves look bad when they might do something like this. Football's getting less and less romantic every day.
