    Same with Owen

There are some players who have left in acrimonuous circumstances yet imo still have genuine respect and feelings for the club

Then there are others who have talked the talk but the moment they are out the door they dont give a ****

IMO Suarez will be one of the latter ones

You do seem to be irrationally upset by the whole thing though, even using imagery to reinforce the point that Suarez is a cheating partner who betraying your unconditional love and support for him. (I'm talking about the "lifting his skirt line" - if that doesn't sound like a prissy, disapproving, moralility snob, then I'm the heir to the belgian throne)

Fact is, he joined Liverpool and that was his new job. That job was better than his old job. Now he wants a new job that's better than his current job. I very much doubt love and affection has ever entered his mind!

I'm annoyed at the fact that he is attempting to make his position difficult at the club so it is forced to sell him at a cheaper price and he keeps a loyalty bonus. I've got no issue with a player wanting to leave. But they should go about it the right way. And him especially bearing in mind some of the incidents he's been involved in since he's been here.

I just find it totally wrong. Ask for the move, go for a fair price. Don't take the piss out of a club who have backed him regardless

Where has he said anything about the price we want for him?

It is difficult to twist it more than the Echo done. Neutral article my arse.

If you do an article like this then you should mention the whole story and not only the half that fits your agenda.
            Actions > words.

His current behaviour suggests that all of his 'I love Liverpool' comments were the usual banal platitudes served up by the vast majority of footballers. Him saying how much he likes being here doesn't balance out the support we've given him through the series of utter cluster****s that he has created. If he shut up and stayed for at least another season then perhaps you could expect more forgiving analyses of his time here.

If the press kept deliberately misrepresenting what I was saying, I'd give up making public statements. Not give them the opportunity. He's gone the opposite way and started talking even more. Misrepresentation seems to be an easy excuse for him and some of his supporters (not supporters on here I mean, but Uruguayan journalists)

                No.

The Echo should have mentioned what he said, both the negative and positive, the full picture.

                Why didn't they do that?

Now The Echo is trying their very best to protect the club as much as they can in article after article. This isn't the first one. They clearly have an agenda.

If the Echo blame a player for saying that he would give 100% if he joined another club why not mention at the same time that he mentioned that he would do the same for us?

No one have a clue if he will do that or not.

They speculate a lot and do what I get criticized doing. They try to make the speculation look like facts.

                Oh, and you aren't thick.

This is hard work this morning

He isn't going to specifically come out and mention his asking price. I can hazard a guess as to how the £40m clause became public though

He is going to make his position difficult and lower the price

So it would be ok if he did what you think you would do if you ever found yourself in the circumstances he claims to be in which you don't really believe anyway.

No wonder you're angry, that's a Moebius strip of nonsense feeding on itself in a timeless loop from which there is no escape.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Nah Neil. If he doesn't like the press, don't give them more ammo to have a pop. No doubt they've given him a rougher ride than others, but he doesn't help himself

Perhaps he just feels at ease talking to the press Uruguay and hasn't really considered how it will all be reported here (or alternatively decided that people will print anything here any way so why give a ****)?

I don't think anyone who has watched his antics in his time with us is under the illusion that he is a master PR strategist.

To my knowledge no one has ever confirmed that this clause exists.

Also he has never said anything about the price and until he says so or fails to turn up for training etc I don't really see what he is doing wrong? He want's to move to further his career and win things.

From someone you were waxing lyrical about a few months ago your opinion of him has changed rather quickly. If he does end up staying I guess all this anger will be brushed under the carpet.

I dont think you could ever accuse Suarez of not giving 100% on the pitch but off the pitch his words about loving the club have proved hollow and now hes making public overtures to a number of the clubs

I think the essence of the Echo article is right - he should stop ****ing talking

I and indeed the Echo seem to have accepted that he will be gone but its the manner in which he is engineering a move that grates

If he wants to move he should slap in a transfer request and lets go from there
