Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Maybe he already told the club that he will do that when he get back from his holiday or accept a bid. Time will tell.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI've no real problem with him wanting to go, its the manner in which hes doing it which grates with me
If he wants to go that desperately he should put in a transfer request
Why blame a player for something that we don't have a clue will happen or not?
IMO he already told the club that he will put in a transfer request when he get back or when they accept a bid.Stop the cyberhate

Nah, it really won't. Like I said, unacceptable that he's taking the piss out of the clubOriginally posted by Chazza View PostTo my knowledge no one has ever confirmed that this clause exists.

Sorry, I thought he wanted to move due to the press? I bet as Madrid didn't come calling, he's had a change of heart and the press aren't so bad after all

The Echo article more than anything else seems to be suggesting that he do less talkingOriginally posted by Sarb View PostIf the press kept deliberately misrepresenting what I was saying, I'd give up making public statements. Not give them the opportunity. He's gone the opposite way and started talking even more. Misrepresentation seems to be an easy excuse for him and some of his supporters (not supporters on here I mean, but Uruguayan journalists)
For me I'm not that arsed about people professing their love for the club whilst talking its more whether they show they care on the pitch
Same for someone who wants to go, he should stop talking and go through the proper channels

To be honest Arn unless I had it in writing from a player I wouldnt act on itOriginally posted by Arn View PostMaybe he already told the club that he will do that when he get back from his holiday or accept a bid. Time will tell.

A verbal request means ****ing nothing and in this day and age with communications as good as they are it wouldnt be difficult for him and or his agent to actually send through a copy of such a document / transfer requestBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. IMO the clause exists but I reckon its set at quite a high figure (£45 million or something like that)Originally posted by Chazza View PostTo my knowledge no one has ever confirmed that this clause exists.

He'd probably have gone for close to that if the biting incident hadnt occurred
IMO he'll be allowed to leave once he submits a formal transfer request in writing and once someone gets near the valuation of his "escape clause"
That doesnt diminish anything from him as a player, hes a superb player and hes given his all whilst hes been hear
But IMO the ways hes going about this whole process is wrongLast edited by Lecter; 12-07-13, 11:01 AM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

If you have a clever agent then you don't put in a transfer request before a bid is accepted because if you do that then the majority of the fans would turn against you.Originally posted by Lecter View PostTo be honest Arn unless I had it in writing from a player I wouldnt act on it

Yes but I think that was again to do with the valuation, if I remember rightly a few teams lowballed them after thatOriginally posted by spider-neil View PostDid Modric hand in a transfer request the season Spurs refused to sell him?Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. And you think there will be a way back now?Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you have a clever agent then you don't put in a transfer request before a bid is accepted because if you do that then the majority of the fans would turn against you.
It wouldn't be a way back.
After talking to the media and expressing your desire to leave for Real Madrid and or Arsenal and or anyone else that might come along
Come on Arn you arent stupid
I've no problem with Suarez telling the club privately he wants to go, if him and his agent want to hold off on the transfer request till bids come in thats up to them
But to go public in the manner he has, has created a problem and now the only way that will be resolved is by Suarez handing in a transfer requestBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

So a transfer request is final is it?
