Let them bid all summer for him and get nowhere and lose out on Higuain.

What's that got to do with anything? We know he wants to go there, but that's irrelevant if they don't bid enough, which they won't. There's zero chance of them upping their bid all the way past £50m. Zero.Originally posted by Tee View PostI hope so mate, just a bit worrying that Luis wants Arsenal talks...no smoke without fire etc.

Arsenal adding 15mill to a 40mill bid ?
Hmmm, sounds really impossible.
But if were them, i wouldn't hesitate tbh, and they do have men with money there, that Russian Billionaire could even fund this deal for fun with his pocket change!
tbh, i didn't think they'd bid anything near 40mill for any player.

Wasn't their first bid a paltry £25m?Originally posted by Vermilion View PostArsenal adding 15mill to a 40mill bid ?

I honestly think we're looking for £55m. That'd mean Arsenal more than doubling their first offer and breaking their transfer record by about £43m. It's just not going to happen

We'd also be looking for all of the cash up front. The most they've ever paid up front for a player is £12m. Having a laughOriginally posted by Pablo1981 View PostWasn't their first bid a paltry £25m?

They have obviously got some encouragement from the players side so why open up with a high bid. Go low and increase unlike us in the past.
