No. Just no. Nothing more than no. Simply no.Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you include bonuses from our sponsors then the group stages is IMO worth much more than that. How much more would we get from SC for example?
I wild guess would be closer to £40m. Say £10m extra from our sponsors and the rest from UEFA, tickets etc.
Well actually you are right, it is a wild guess. It is also an inaccurate guess.
2012-13 figures.
According to UEFA themselves 2012-13 would see a team earn 14.6m euro for participating in and winning all 6 groups games. Whats that - £13m?
For ticket sales, 3 home sell outs at £50 a ticket will push that up to about £20,000,000. If we got £1,000,000 a pop for TV that's £26,000,000
Our sponsors are not plugging anywhere near that gap to make it anywhere near £40,000,000 for being in the group stagesFootball without Origi is nothing

We should stop spending £20m a year on the woman's team for a start.Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you can come up with a better way to keep our best players then you are indeed a genius because no club that don't play in the CL have so far succeed to keep their best players without paying them crazy money.
Not a single club.
We can't expect the players to stay if we don't pay them what they are worth, can we?

They had one great player back then, Modric, and he was sold the following summer when they missed out on the CL.Originally posted by dom9 View PostOh, and Spurs did it, with Redknapp in charge.
If they want to keep Bale then IMO they must offer him a new deal worth close to £200k a week.Stop the cyberhate

And we've had several players at least as good.Originally posted by Arn View PostThey had one great player back then, Modric, and he was sold the following summer when they missed out on the CL.

And Spurs are most probably happy to take the money for Bale as they did with Modric.Oh I don't know.

Yea I get that but if Arsenal don't pay what we want then it's all pointless.Originally posted by spider-neil View PostBecause we may be contractually obligated to do so.-----------------------------------------------

He will not be joning Arsenal.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostI think Arsenal intend/ed to spend around 80mill on two maybe 3 players, Suarez being one.
He will leave us but it won't be to Arsenal.
Arsenal are being played her by Suarez and his agent. Fairly sure Madrid will be his final destination.
