You've changed your mind or Rodgers has developed him into a top class player, Arn?

I'd say Rodgers has had a significant impact on him, but maybe you'd disagree.

There’s a major DIFFERENCE in tone, nuance, delivery, meaning, attitude & resolve in what J.Henry said about Torres in 2010 & Suarez y'day…
How people (Arsenal fans) can't see this is bizarre.

I'm expecting some more quotes from Suarez in the coming days with his stance softening considerably on a move. I think he knows he's up against it now and will cover his bases.

If he wasn't a top class player then without being able to offer CL football we have been able to sign up 0 top class players the last 20 years or so.

That tells it all how difficult job Rodgers have ahead of him.

Piers Morgan referred to Henry as a "windbag" mentioning the Torres thing to back himself up. I said this morning that the number of journos thinking he'll still go to Arsenal is bizarre. Porky Parry this morning was saying that JWH stuffed himself and will have to sell to Arsenal.

I think he was in the bracket of prolific strikers in the Dutch league. So a bit like Kuyt, and even Kezman plus many ithers. So a bit of a risk in the English league. The risk paid off.
              Oh I don't know.

He'll probably do an interview when away with Uruaguay next week with slave written across his forehead or something like that.

Joking aside I do expect him to start to recant what he's said as I get the feeling JWH was deadly serious about him still being here on the 3rd Sept

It's very simple - they don't want to.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Agreed, it's very desperate, obviously clubs bull**** but theres not a chance on earth they're getting him now even if they come back with £60m!

Deluded journo's like Darren Lewis on SSN still using the Torres stuff and saying we "cant afford" not to sell if Arsenal go near £50m.

I actually wonder how different this all would have been if Arsenal had just bid something like £45m from the getgo and been prepared to actually negotiate properly. All they've actually done is trolled us with an insulting bid then sat there watching the chaos as Suarez has gone postal. At least Chelsea for all their flaws do this **** properly, when Torres made it clear he wanted to go they hiked their bid to an acceptable level without much messing around.
Agreed MrM but, Arsenal can f*ck off full stop as their 1 of our main competitors for that fourth place were so sesperate for

All the Mirror journalists besides Maddock think he'll go to Arsenal. Lewis says he's a Liverpool fan too. I suspect they just need to keep the story going though...sells papers

Pretty much, we haven't been that type of club since our glory days. It's tougher than ever nowadays though. It seems as though there's many, many players that instantly rule us out. We're really, really up against it

Players like Sturridge, Coutinho, Aspas, and Alberto show that there's hope though. I think we have to plow on with looking for "up and coming, out of favour, but with huge potential" type signings. If we do that well we'll improve enough to start attracting the more established players again.

I still think the future is bright

Rodgers built the tactics around him. Sometining Kenny didn't. He built a tactic to suit Suarez. Rodgers mentioned that himself.

That is the main reason to why he developed so much last season IMO. Rodgers gave him the same freedom on the pitch as Rafa did with Gerrard.

So the answer to your question is yes.

the best thing suarez could do now would probably be to sack his agent.

bin him off, come out with an apology, say he does want to play champions league and play for a team competing for things but that he was badly advised by his agent all the way through this process and then take all the **** he'll get and whatever punishment the club give him like a man - pin the blame on his agent, if his agent was any good he'd take the blame - it might make him look a cunt but he'd use that for new candidates, showing how much he 'loves' his clients by taking the hit for them when it matters most

it might just might restore a little bit of respect for him and save him a little bit of face

only a little like, but if the club are defo not going to sell and he has noway out, it's his only option i can see
