I'm not getting involved in argument with you,I'm not alone in thinking he was walking a tightrope yesterday. You think he wasn't. Thats fine.

And you don't think emotions could have get the better of your senses and if you watched back a lot calmer that there is a chance you might have been overreacting?

Honestly, I challenge anybody to watch that game back and try to make a genuine case for Suarez being sent off (outside of the alleged dive).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm quite surprised and relieved he wasn't sent off yesterday.

Thankfully Clattenburg was spot on then, but even the over exaggeration gives a less useful ref the chance to book him for a dive, even if it wasn't. When you're on a yellow you need to be careful of this, especially him cos I've no doubt some of those refs hate him,Kevin Friend I'm looking at you! He was well wound up for the game and I was worried for a period but he calmed it down as the game wore on and he's available for the next one, that's all that matters really.

No I don't .I was pretty in charge of my emotions watching it and perfectly sober. I thought he was running a risk sometimes, thankfully Clattenburg was sensible. Some of his colleagues would have jumped at the chance to book him again.

Well that's the only thing I think there may have been grounds for criticism for. This accusation that he was playing up the whole match just isn't true. The only people he was giving off too were his team mates and he does that every week.

Well I for one didn't say anything about him doing it for the whole match. It was the first 20-25 of the second half when things were generally going to **** where I was worried.

Well it's a general discussion. I've highlighted the only issues I noticed and I've yet to be told of any other, either before 25 mins or after.

I had concerns about Luis yesterday mainly because of who he is that might have bought him a 2nd yellow.

I do think the diving his crept back into his game a little bit these last few matches whereas for instance the Demicheles tackle (I'm not saying it wasn't a foul btw) I think earlier on in the season he'd have stayed on his feet and gone past him.

Just feels like the pressure of the league title being in touching distance is weighing on him a little bit and he's trying even harder than usual.

I think everybody was the same. The fact that he wasn't sent off, or even warned, or even talked too though surely goes some way to prove him did keep his temper in check and didn't do much wrong (dive aside) to give the ref an opportunity.

Give Clattenburg credit for his display yesterday what with the occasion and all that but another ref would have warned him at the very least if not dished out a 2nd yellow.

Hopefully a goal or 4 this Sunday and he'll have the 30 + goals monkey off his back and another step closer to winning the league

I think the first yellow was harsh anyway,it was a bit late but it was his first one. Once you have it you need to be careful, especially him. The Milner dive straight after the Luis incident was good cos it gave Clattenburg the chance to apply the same logic and thus give City less of a chance to moan over Luis's one. I think Sturridge being out might help him now, especially given who we come up against next. Hope we don't see Coutinho on the wing though.

Funnily enough I think Suarez had a poor game before we played Norwich last time and I remember thinking it was because Sturridge was out and he had less space. Same scenario, Sturridge is out and he'll have to play up top on his own after a couple of lesser performances by his standards, so hopefully the same result this time again.

Pat Nevin , was just on newstalk radio there now. Says Suarez has lost his spark because he's tubby and not in great condition.

                                Nevin's a dickhead.

Hope Luis finds his scoring touch again soon though,When he wasn't around Sturridge was scoring. When Sturridge wasn't around Luis was scoring. Now both of them are in a bit lean spell.
