That was me Mike. It's a fair point. I just wonder who the next unpolished gem is and if we can get them here. As you say we helped turn Torres into what he was and sold him at his peak, we look like doing the same with Suarez. Hopefully the next big thing has the intelligence to notice those things. I worry some will still see last season as a flash in the pan, a point which may be reinforced if we sell Suarez. Be helpful to sign his replacement before he leaves though, that's what we did when Luis himself signed. Get them signed before they know the star is leaving

      Suarez is.

yeah my point was - personally i won't go into a complete panic melt down if we sell him

i'll be gutted defo - but for all we know, 2 or 3 years down the line we could have sold him for £100m to real madrid, he's gone there - hated it from day one, had massive issues with ronaldo and not really done much to justify his fee, where as we've signed someone for £25m who looked a decent player, then came and set the world alight, smashing in 20-30 goals

i do hope we keep him for another season at least though
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

What would the money go on do we think then chaps?

          Lallana £25m
          Lovern £15m?
Sanchez in the deal (if Barca)
          Shaqiri £12-£15m?

Then we'd need a forward, Jackson Martinez?
The times they are a changin'.

blowing £40m on lallana and lovren is not the way to fill the hole left by Suarez. £25m for the pair tops. They're both ridiculously overpriced. If Suarez leaves we need world class players in.

To have had a player like Suarez at the club and only have a league cup to show for it is criminal.

Cunt owes us a league title.

Getting a little worrisome now - more noise than I want to hear.
I read this earlier, I tend to trust what Guillem Balague says, he's been criticised in the past, but he tends to be proven right, what this is what I rook from it...

                  1. He's happy at LFC and would be happy to stay
                  2. He has family in/near Barcelona and likes the city - he would prefer a move hear (if he moved) but would also consider a move to Madrid
                  3. Barca have 120m euros to spend + the money from Fabregas
                  4. Deal would probably be players + cash with Sanchez and/or Pedro available

Basically, right now he's not going to push for a move, but if we agreed a deal he'd go.

PS Madrid value Morata at 30m euros and no one is willing to pay it!!

So he'd be happy to stay, happy to go to Barca, and happy to go to Madrid.

Yep, typical Balague. He's definitely right with one of those. Spot on.
                    Oh I don't know.

The very first thing I thought.

                        Balague certainly knows his onions

70m and Pedro+Sanchez will do if he really must go. I'd rather keep him though.

Balague is actually the Spanish word for onions. The literal translation of his name into English is William Onions.

Balague is also forging himself a career in music. He does indeed cultivate his onions.
                              Are we winning?
