You knew the moment it happened that there was going to be a hugely exaggerated reaction from the media & sure whatever takes the focus off England's failings. Roy Hodgson must be thanking Luis Suarez in his prayers for completely overshadowing England's mediocrity.
As for the fans from other teams, they would absolutely love Suarez to get banned at club level.. as it would impact LFC if he stays or maybe they are hoping it brings the transfer value down.
The obvious over reaction that was predictable but when who look at it realistically & you have to take into account the other incidents in his career.. there is something fundamentally wrong with him. It's a very strange thing to physically bite someone, like a desperate, primal survival instinct.
He is a truly incredible footballer, the most gifted player ever to play for LFC without a shadow of a doubt.. but he is a lunatic. The guy is a loose cannon & to be honest i think that raw fire & unpredictable side of his character is a part of what makes him such a good footballer.
I know it's not funny in terms of actually biting someone.. it's actually pretty disgusting but having watched it back i couldn't help but laugh. I mean WTF is wrong the guy! Reading all the comments on EST since this happened is very interesting. There is an undertone of defending him without people actually defending him. Some think it's disgusting and want rid, some think it's disgusting but think other incidents have been more severe & others don't really care whatever he does... as long as he doesn't get banned from LFC & we can win ****. IMO, i can't take away any focus from what he has done, time and time again. Yes it's a witch hunt, but it's a witch hunt that Suarez started. He is his own worst enemy, fabulous talent but doesn't seem to be the smartest of guys.
I expected him to leave the club before this incident, but i'm a bit negative on times anyways. He has earned a chance to play for whatever club he wants to with the effort he has put in for LFC on the pitch but then again does he owe LFC for the quagmire he has put the club through? Probably not as there is zero loyalty in modern day football... that would be expecting too much.
Lots of rumours about the Barca deal involving Sanchez even before the incident. Whatever way you look at it, if he goes we are losing a player that cannot be replaced, even with 2 or 3 players coming in... he actually is that good.
Personally i'll be absolutely gutted when he leaves which he surely will at some point, but slightly relieved at the same time. On the one hand he makes us a better team & helps us win.. on the other he would do some things that make you think he is a truly despicable character & you would hate his guts if he played for any other team but LFC.
But i cannot condone some of the things he has done, regardless of other agendas in a media frenzy. The guy has been shrouded in drama & controversy his whole career, we knew it when we bought him... but the his talent outweighed the risk. If Luis Suarez was an average run of the mill player, he would have been ****ed out a long time ago. Unfortunately or fortunately.. the guy is a footballing genius & a huge asset to the club on the pitch and financially. This is what makes things complicated & the reason we have persisted to be dragged through the mud by supporting him during his indiscretions.
Sooooooo... in conclusion he is world class footballing talent but he has a very nasty & slightly worrying side to him, that seemingly he cannot control. If his ban doesn't equate to club level and he stays with LFC.. great for us as he will score goals & we can conveniently forget that he can be a nasty *******. If he is sold to Barca in a deal that involves player plus a lot of cash... great for us too as his drama is someone else's & we will make sure we get a good deal for the club. Not so great though on any front if he gets banned at club level.. disastrous actually! But let's hope that doesn't happen.Last edited by danperkins; 26-06-14, 12:22 PM.

He is also one of the nicest and most caring footballers out there according to anyone who meats him.
I would much prefer to be in his company than most of the other arrogant footballers that are around today

Indeed. 888 are so enraged by the "unsporting behaviour" they'll happily take bets on whether he gets banned and have loads of fixed matches available to bet on their website every week.Originally posted by red g View Postlove this fake outrage of the sponsors to, Adidias must be so disgusted with his behaviour that they photograph him ready for his next bite!!!

People have hated him since the handball. And you know what - its not because he handled it on the line or celebrated the penalty miss - who ****ing wouldn't? You know what - watch the video. The only reason Luis handled it on the line is because the Uruguayan in front of him missed it with his hands! We see commentators and ex-pros every week on TV saying a player took a booking for hte team to break up an attack and describing a deliberate foul (essentially an act of cheating) as a 'good' foul.Originally posted by danperkins View PostThe obvious over reaction that was predictable but when who look at it realistically & you have to take into account the other incidents in his career.
The reason people hate him for the handball is because he stopped an African team qualifying for a World Cup semi final on African soil. That then set the tone for the reactions to his subsequent wrongdoings. Yeah he doesn't help himself but don't recall this level of righteousness surrounding multiple leg breaker Shawcross.Football without Origi is nothing
