    So to summarise:
    • Can't play him for four months.
    • His sell on value has dropped dramatically.
    • Won't be match fit until the end of November as he can't train.
    • Have to pay him while he's banned.
    • Forced to keep him knowing he's one more major transgression away from a likely long term/lifetime ban.

    Yay!

We all laugh about this then.

Just stick a disguise on him this summer. Train away.

We should bump him off and claim on the insurance

I disagree with that, but of course that's down to how i view the incident, and the fact he's never ever really hurt anyone doing this, so i feel it's all just a bit out of proportion on the scale of lifes misdemeaners..

I think the punishment is fair, can't see what else they could've done. Luis has let everyone down again.

                Is it **** fair.

We had Suarez under control, we had a psychologist working with him, BR doing the fatherly act and it was working.

He's out of our control, flaps up, and we're punished for it.

                That's what stinks about it.

Fifa are taking the piss. We let our players go to make them money and we're done over for it.

liverpool should also effectively turn round and recall all internationals out on duty as well

In fact that's another angle we should be lobbying and demanding UEFA support us.
I am sure, privately at least, the big clubs will be concerned by such a ground breaking precedent. UEFA need the big clubs or they have nothing really. The revenue difference between CL and Europa proves that. They need to keep the big teams sweet!

"No football activity" = can't even train with the club?
I wear my heart on my profile name.

Have FIFA actually said he is not allowed to train or has someone assumed and its spread.

Are they going to stop him doing a gym session?

The player has been punished for biting for the third time, he's our player so unfortunately we're going to have to suffer as well.

The only place I have seen it suggested is here. I can't see it being accurate if he is allowed to sign for a new club that is more football related than running round some cones in a field

Fine with the 9 game international ban, no problem with that - but where is the justice in hurting LFC with an action he did in international football?

Well out of proportion IMO, needs to be appealed or we should try CAS at the very least. Ridiculous way of doing it.

Luis is an idiot and needs to be punished, but this is ridiculous. Wonder why FIFA didn't just ban him for a couple of years international football instead? Perhaps because it would hurt another big international tournament...
