I'm relieved that's all it was to be honest. I'll take that, rest his knee, have a proper 'summer break'. Come back and score 30+ goals again from October.

Selling him now is out of the question as he yet again owes us.
    One tit for another.

it could happen - teams could refuse to release players for international duty for fear of losing them should they do something playing for their countries = precedence has been set
Maybe with Suarez, but I can't believe there would be a more general fear amongst clubs that their players are going to do something as stupid and off the wall as Luis.

To be absolutely fair this is only going to happen with Suarez isn't it? You're not going to be too worried any of your other players are going to be hit with this. It's only a precedent for Luis. It'll have absolutely no effect on the rest of the club v country debate.

When does the Champions League start? We might be struggling to get out of the group with his goals.

Even Roy Hodgson is at it now!

He's blaming Suarez for England getting knocked out of the World Cup!!!

                Oh hang on....

I'd get rid now. His behaviour is an embarrassment and I'm fed up of getting constant stick about Liverpool from ****s at work and on Facebook because of it.

Luis Suarez is NOT bigger than Liverpool football club.

Aye, although only just slightly better than Jones.

                      Just seen this WTF??

I am shocked at the harshness of the punishment, I think that banning him is fair enough but to ban him more from domestic football than international football when the offence took place in an international seems disproportionate.

The whole idea of preventing him from training or entering a stadium seems unnecessarily harsh on us. Also punishing us more than Uruguay but not letting us appeal seems extremely unfair.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Or if he headbutted someone, or elbowed them - no matter how many times he had done it. And that's what stinks. If they are taking into account he two previous offences for two different clubs in two different countries then why not take into account previous for every disciplinary procedure?

It is unfair on us... But it's all the fault of Luis. He is a habitual line crosser and we employ him. We have to deal with unfortunate consequences of that.

Its actually more draconian than a football banning order. Hooligans with a banning order can still actually take part in a match but have to leave the stadium if subbed off. I'd be surprised if he is prevented from viewing as a spectator in a general admission area - in the club section sure but in general admission.

I can just see the FIFA delegate turning up to escort him off the sidelines of Skem v Burscough

I don't agree. We know he's an idiot and should be punished for what he did, but it's one rule for him and another for the rest. Everyone knows that if any other player did the same thing, they wouldn't get half of the punishment. He did in a Uruguay jersey, not ours so they should wear the costs.
