Stopping someone like him or any professional doing what they do and love doing will drive them around the bend. Especially as he won't be able to train with any footballer it is one huge punishment.

FIFA ruled against the player not LFC.

I should think we'll produce some form of appeal and no doubt Uruguay will too. I would imagine that we'll consider taking it to the court for arbitration in sport as well, if the outcome doesn't change.

I'm no lawyer but FIFA's actions could potentially have a huge impact on our revenue stream (from the CL if we don't progress) so whatever our public pronouncements might be about Luis being in the wrong I'd be astonished if we take it lying down.

I read that we are not in a position to appeal anything. Uruguay only have that option

Surely that would be a bit odd given the effect on the club is significantly greater than on the country?

I'm not sure how legal it is for fifa to ban him indiscriminately from earning from his trade; I cannot see how the 4 month non football ban would be upheld in any court

I disagree, but if what you said is true - then FIFA need to be challenged. Suarez is clearly slightly unhinged anyway so adding further mental pressure wouldn't be punishment it would be irresponsible. I don't see how stopping him playing domestically and preventing him from training etc will do him any good at all? I would have thought that offering him support would be the right approach. FIFA's punishment hurts us as a club and causes mental anguish to a player who is already suffering mental issues on the pitch.

What? No football activity includes training as well?

I thought it's mere speculation. Ridiculous beyond belief if true.

I agree they should make him seek help but we are caught in this because of one of our players stupidity. FIFA has to punish what he did and it's the 3rd time he's done it. It's not normal to go around biting your work colleagues. LFC are an innocent 3rd party being damaged by one of our employees.
I don't see we could do anything about this situation other than to ensure it cannot happen again

If that's how it is then fair enough but IMO not having a right of appeal might strengthen our case at the COAIS.

If you take FIFA or UEFA to court you can't compete in their competitions while the case is being heard. And they are ****ing minted so will probably do all they can do drag it out just to spite you.

FIFA are based in Switzerland and a registered chairty and from what I understand looking into the FC Sion case you can't sue a charity in Switzerland. Yes but the football authorities have it all tied up in pretty little bows to protect their owns arses and gravy train.

It so ridiculous I am still refusing to believe it is true. How far does footballing activity extend? Is he banned from lining up in the team photo?
