Thanjk you.

Hope we don't become the new spurs. Suarez is going to be hard to replace.
Spurs didn't actually suffer significantly in points terms from selling Bale, they just failed to invest wisely enough to kick on immediately. I would happily take, as they did iirc, a couple of points drop on our finishing tally last season if offered that now for the coming one.
Suarez will be bloody hard to replace, impossible really to do directly, however we still have some vibrant attacking options in Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho and now Lallana, add one or two more of the same ilk and we can have a pretty fine attack anyway whether or not we end up with that one, stunningly good individual.

Agree completely....
As you say, spurs didnt actually suffer as much as the media made out. They had a few terrible defeats - notably against us at home and away - but they also did reasonably well (results wise anyway) in a lot of their games. I think the **** up with them - which was surprising for spurs / levy - is that they spunked a lot of the cash. We should keep our powder dry if the right player isnt available...
Getting back to us, this is a huge chance for sturridge - to prove he is capable of being the main man. Also, i think we will go back to the 433 we saw in BRs first season - you get the feeling that BR changed the way he wanted to set up in order to accomodate both LS & DS.
I would love if we could pull something out of the bag in the transfer market - a top player and something nobody saw coming like Mandzukic.....or Valbuena. Supplement that with two or three top young players - Son Heung Min, Shaquiri, Muniain and we could kick on...
That's hardly fair, Suarez scored against every team in the league, but didn't have many 'important' games for us. He scored in cup finals in Holland and in the Copa America final. This myth that he only performed against poor teams is completely false.
I didn't say performed, I said scored. Of his 31 goals 5 were against Norwich, 5 against Cardiff, and 2 against Fulham, the three relegated teams. Add on 3 against West Brom, and 2 against West Ham, Stoke, Sunderland and Palace, and that's 23 of 31 goals against teams nowhere near the top of the table (and I didn't even include Spurs in that) and often part of comfortable victories.
I'm not saying that 31 in 33 games isn't phenomenal, but the facts are that a third of those came against just two teams, and none against City, Chelsea or Arsenal (even in the 5-1 win).
Surely Suarez's quality isn't being called into question? He's one of the top 3 players in world football and probably the best player I've seen playing for us albeit only over a short period.
He's mental yes but a phenomenal player and we will miss him in the side, have to hope we get the replacements right

A very black and white way of looking at it. He was absolutely sensational against Arsenal (5-1), the best player on the park by a mile, excellent at City away also. All strikers' records look like that - games against the top teams are usually tighter and lower-scoring so it stands to reason they score more freely against 'the rest'. Suarez has scored against everyone in his time here (home and away) and his record against the top teams is better than Ronaldo's was when he was at United.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Exactly.I cannot stand when our fans try and play down our players achievements when the realisation hits them that they could be leaving. Suarez is/was a phenomenal player for us and we'll probably be a lesser team without him end of story.
Well i for one hope he breaks his leg in his first training session and never plays a game for them.
He's dead to me. My boys signing for those dirty slimy ****ing cunts. Its heartbreaking

Christ I'm bored of this ****. Can't wait till its over so we can all move onto the endless rumours of him coming "home" each window when his move hopefully doesn't go to well!
