Thanjk you.

If we still have £75m to spend + whatever we get from sales we could really improve our squad for next season especially in those key areas.
That said, would love to see us sign at least one high quality top footballer.
An established marquee signing would be amazing alright.
I'm just wondering though, we have 3 players already, Markovic if true will be 4. How many players are we actually going to bring in & more to the point how many are we going to sell or loan?
Dangerous game making such wholesale changes to the team. Adding quality is essential but at the same time we have to keep the balance & continuity. Rodgers has a tough task ahead next season as we are competing on all fronts & likes of Arsenal & United IMO will be much stronger.
Getting into the champs league spots is going to be a bit of a bitch!

Very much so but i just cannot see them being as bad as last year. Much better manager & they are so desperate to land big players that they will splurge huge wedges of cash to get them. Hopefully they don't land anyone likes Vidal,Hummels,Robben etc
We have no chance this season. After all the only reason we did so well last season was because we had no European football. It stands to reason that the Mancs are going to sweep the domestic trophies this season.

We still need a LB, a CB and another forward/striker to start.
In terms of selling and loaning we do have many that may be either sold or loaned:
Pepe (loan)
Robinson (loan)
Wisdom (loan)
Kelly (maybe loan)
Agger (sell)
Toure (may be allowed to leave on free)
Coates (loan)
Ilori (loan)
Lucas (loan/sell)
Coady (loan)
Suso (loan)
Alberto (already loaned)
Teixeira (loan)
Aspas (loan/sell)
Borini (sell)
Yesil (loan)
Assaidi (sell)
Ibe (loan)
If majority of those are sold or loaned our squad will need more depth and more quality.
Missing Suarez's goals is one thing (and of course, the main thing), but his pressing from the front is something that will be very hard to replicate. Coupled with this, his stretching of defenses, and ability to pull people out of position was second to none. He was basically a few players wrapped in one, and I don't particularly agree with the idea that BR's strategy will be better off without Luis as part of it. He was the linchpin to the system because of the fact that he had all the attributes to do things that other players couldn't do.
That isn't to say we won't cope, we will, we will tweak the systems to ensure that. I can see what the basis is for people suggesting that BR might see it as a greater opportunity to get us playing how he wants, but I don't personally think it will be as simple as that. The argument is that everything went through Luis, especially offensively (and, again with his pressing from the front), and therefore it isn't going to be easy for everyone to get used to him not being there.
Good post. The first point is what makes me most nervous. His ability to infect the whole team with those attributes of desire and hunger to win which is unparalleled is what makes him so special. None of the other top tier players that he's mentioned alongside have those kind of attributes to go along with their extraordinary ability as footballers. He's truly unique in those terms.
I agree with this. Really don't want him to go. Gonna miss him big time
Markovic and Origi are close to being completed, I'd imagine we'll see a central defender probably Lovren, a full back and a high profile attacker to replace Suarez with the £75m

Bellamy used to do that. Suarez is a huge loss, but let's get things in perspective - we've got £75m to spend on a squad that desperately needed strengthening. And we've lost a player that we were going to lose for at least a quarter of the season anyway. Suarez is awesome, he's irreplaceable as an individual, but I've got faith that Brendan can tweak the system to get the best out of the squad that we start the season with. After all, he did so to make Suarez the player he is today...
