Thanjk you.

For future reference I found this site which allows you to select a start date within the season to calculate the table...so just set the "Matches From" to 10th of January (before Blackpool game) and click on "Go".
We've accumulated 2nd highest amount points (ahead of United by 1 point )
Most clean sheets (8).
Only team to score in every game.
Scored the most goals (35).
Conceded 2nd fewest (14).
It is amazing to bring about that change so quickly with injuries to some of our major players. That run has also included comfortable wins against three of the top four. It is such a cliche but next season...
You know what? I'm going to stick my neck out and say it was a good thing Kenny wasn't in charge at the start of the season. With Hicks and Gilette still in charge, our dirty laundry being washed in public, unsettled dressing room, no money to spend, no Steve Clarke, Commolli etc.... he'd have done better at turning it around than Bodge, of course, but would things have come together quite the way they seem to have now? I'm not sure. We had to put up with things getting as bad as they could realistically get, but Kenny was able to come in with almost 100% fan support, pressure off, and its all gone pretty much as well as it could have since.
Momentum is so important in football and Kenny's been able to build up a **** load of it with the way he started; I'm not utterly convinced he would have been able to build that up in quite the same way with things as they were at the club in August.
As for whether he should have replaced Hodgson earlier, well maybe by a few weeks but I do think expecting or wanting new owners to act before getting a grip on the situation, when a lot of the advice they may have been hearing was of the Hodgson = LMA darling type, always was a little unrealistic.
since 17th, Jan we're joint top with Chelsea, both on 32 points from 14 games, with Scum a point behind in 3rd having played a game more.
Shocking isn't it. By the end of the season we could well be clear of both of them. AND Kenny had to rally the team and bed his methods in. Apparently odds on us winning the damn league next season are down from 100/1 to 14/1 in the same timescale too
