Are you Warren Buffett?
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Yeah, sure is. But there is not much change needed to bring about huge changes there. We've already gotten rid of Hodgson, now we need to get rid of Poulsen, Cole, Jova, Konk, Jones and Aquilani. SortedOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostThat's depressing.

it tells us we pay alot of money relative to were we finished. Chelseas position is shocking if you consider they finished second. oh and you only win the league by spending money.Originally posted by The_weatherman View Post
This is not surprising really, not sure what it tells us either

Been reading a book called "Why England Lose," written by a sports economist and football writer. They found (looking over 30 years of data or something) that league finishing position is 90% based on total salary to players; not manager or player transfer fees.Originally posted by Marsh View Postit tells us we pay alot of money relative to were we finished. No real surprises that we are at the bottom, which is why we need to get rid of all deadwood we have, but I find it interesting that 3 of our big competitors are in the bottom 5 so we are certainly not the only one who need some squad changes.Originally posted by Marsh View Postit tells us we pay alot of money relative to were we finished. if you go with the theory that those who spend the most tend to win the league thats what you would expect isnt it?Originally posted by Mostar View PostNo real surprises that we are at the bottom, which is why we need to get rid of all deadwood we have, but I find it interesting that 3 of our big competitors are in the bottom 5 so we are certainly not the only one who need some squad changes.
obviously only one team can win the leauge but you would expect the ones wanting to win the league would be around the bottom.
