Yeah...perhaps. But I disagree about it being hardly surprising........it's almost 4 years back, not too mention the changes in that period. Not too mention again that the link between the move away, and the game tomorrow is tenuous at best.Originally posted by RedReet View PostBut they are playing the team who he was accused of refusing to play against. This is the first time he's come up against them snce, so hardly surprising it's come up now.
It's completely out of the blue from both Barrett and Macherano IMO."I will make the boys feel your support"

Ok, we'll go with your theory that it's completely out of the blue.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostYeah...perhaps. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah but what has playing City got to do with Liverpool then? If its because he is playing in England for the first time since leaving then I could kind of understand. But Im assuming it isnt?Originally posted by RedReet View PostIt's the first time he's played City.
And Barrett has been sidelined to an extent at LFC of late

Was in London against Arsenal a few year back in the CL I think, don't think he got off the bench though.Originally posted by Sarb View PostIs this the first time he has played in England then since he was bombed out against his will?

First time Barca have played City in any competitive game ever though isn't it ?, which you would think is the bigger story.

I’ll just refer you both back to my last post then.
I thought the article was pretty self explanatory and the timing pretty obvious, but clearly not worth this amount of time.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

No...**** this.
We need a show of hands.......Who here, when informed that Man City are playing Barca in the CL in their first competitive meeting ever, first thought is of the reasons for Masch refusing/not refusing to play in a game almost four years ago against a completely different City side, for a completely different side ?

Actually why is the Masch thread in the Liverpool section to begin with ?"I will make the boys feel your support"

I think it is because after 6 months of chasing he is about to agree a deal to return in summer and wants to let us know he didn't refuse to play, it was all Bodge's fault....which is hairy muff in my book. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
