If we want to challenge for the title then we must be able to afford to sign Aguero or any other top class player even if he would cost £40m without selling a player we want to keep.

It makes perfect financial sense to sell, but if we want to compete it is just bonkers tbh.

He is unique, totally irreplacable. We will see the real SG next season, i firmly believe that.

1) I want Gerrard to finish his career with us. One-club-players are very rare.
2) We don't (and have no need) to be seen as a selling club. And if we needed to raise the cash then we have other players to sell.
3) I doubt we'd get a huge amount for Gerrard now either, given his age and recent injuries.

Absolutely positively no.
You never sell one of the best players your club has ever had under any circumstances. He deserves a league medal more than anyone and has been so inspirational for so long.
I hope he retires with us and then goes on to coach. Absolute legend in my eyes.Comment
