I thought the most interesting things were about his aerial ability and tendency/desire to drop back into defence. The more I think about it the more I like the idea of a 4-2-3-1 based system with him and Lucas as the 2.

Absolutely, him and Lucas would be ideal. Specially if Suarez is constantly searching for his space-busting passes and Gerrard is occupying one of the man-markers. Can't see where oppos are going to find someone to man mark Adam as well. So many options.

As for being more effective crossing from the right, that was at set pieces only I think. I only suggested using him as the Downing type player from time to time if needed. But I can see we might someone with some experience down that wing (and some longer distance pace).
