I don't think £10m a year is needed, but the 'family club' that is such a 'part of the community' could reap a lot of benefit from being an active supporter. It does open the door to a large chunk of extra fans which is good for merchandise, but more importantly commercial sponsorship and endorsements if we can show a large female following too.Originally posted by Shanks View PostI'd rather they invested every spare penny they had into LFC..
How will spending millions into the womens team help us win the Premiership?"that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

If Japan win the Women World Cup then the market could explode over there. £10m may be well over the top but if we sign up a couple of the best Japanese players and a couple of Chinese ones then we would most probably make a profit in the long term.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

The women's game doesnt pay out anything like the men's game does, in terms of tv revenues, prize money, gate receipts etc.Arn seriously mate, you're living in la la land and I would like to add that that is not a good land to live on.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI prefer this one myself its more apt in this case

But I agree with your general sentiments
Seriously, read Craig's post several times. There is no revenue whatsoever in the womens game. And signing players from the far East would not cause any mass hysteria in that region - how are the fans in the far east or even in this country going to get to see them play?
To sink £10m is crazy. Football teams don't make that much PROFIT at all and that is probably 15% of our profit a year!My kebab comes with chilli sauce

What I mean is that we would sell a lot more shirts to female fans. Say that we would sell a million more shirts in Japan and China combined.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostProfit from where? Women football is much bigger in Japan and China than in England. It is not a big sport but it is still much bigger than in England.
It is not about TV revenues, prize money or gate receipts. It is about selling shirts and merchandise.Stop the cyberhate

I think it would be more like 30% (at best)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
