The best thing would be to sell him now, when his stock is all time high, and use the money to buy a good, solid striker and/or top notch CB.

I would also have thought he would want to move for regular football as the Euros are at the end of the season, and presumably he'll want to be in the squad for that.

I know many people don't see there being much chance of us selling both Meireles and Aquilani but in all honesty I wouldn't be too surprised if we did, I can't see either playing regularly and both will want to be in the national squads in the summer.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We still need that player imo, but he needs to be worthy of a starting place so maybe needs to have more strings to his bow, and i don't think it's Yossi Benayoun either, he's more headless chicken type creative imo, where we imo need composed creative, if that makes sense.
I completely agree, I'd keep him and have him involved regularly.

Meireles came on,played on the left(if you can call it that),bottled out of a couple of 50-50s and was useless.Aquilani was the best player in pre season and should be given a chance I think.

Yeah but playing Luxembourg isnt really like playing a football match.

maybe, but aquilani played only 20 minutes, and also scored.

His price should rise every day that Milan wait. I'd rather keep him but if he's going to leave we need time to spend the money.

I don't know why Charlie Adam seems to have automatically got that place nailed down already. I mean I know he's good but Aqua could certainly challenge for that spot and after pre-season I would say they should both be competing for that CM position.

Aquilani is not a part of rotation as imo he's about to be sold.

If he is not, he'd be at least on the bench if not even considered seriously for the starting role.

Adam is playing as Kenny appears to see him as a first choice midfielder and he needs to play regularly to bring the best out of him.

No free passes though and If he fails to deliver I am sure other players will step in.

Finally we have considerable depth to do that.

If Aquilani played against Arsenal then I reckon Arsene could be tempted to bid for him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't think Aquilani is physical enough to play as deep central midfielder, I think he needs to play further forward in a more attacking role.

I doubt there's a person alive that will dispute that fact

Reports in Italy claim AC Milan have dropped their interest in Liverpool's Alberto Aquilani. #LFC
We'll find out on Saturday if this is true or not..

Exactly. Adam is a bit clumsy, but he does get stuck in.

Unless we are playing a very weak team Aquilani is too soft to play next to Lucas.

I think he's better further forward anyway.

Hope the news about Milan dropping their interest is true.
