If he's unhappy and we want rid of him I don't see the sense in loaning him out again though. He had a good season on loan last year and it didn't increase his value, there's no reason to think that it will this time either, if he has no future with us we should just cut our losses now. If we are loaning him out for a year and then he will sign for them at the end fair enough, but we don't want to be messing about with options again.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

IF the agents comments in that tweet are correct it appears to suggest its a permanent deal

Lets hope so, as much as I'd have like to have seen him given a chance, if he's not staying his future needs to be sorted out permanently, so save all this messing about again.

Aquilani's agent tells Gazzetta.it: "The agreement between Alberto + Fiorentina hasn't yet been reached."
Cannot see him staying if this is true. He's as good as gone now.

It's just his agent talking crap

I want him to stay as I think he can really contribute to the squad when call upon but If Lecter said that his sources indicated he wants to leave then it's only matter of time and his agent comments, if true, only confirm those thoughts

The agent is trying to get the best deal for his client and now hes got a fee agreed (assuming the reports are true) hes trying to milk both sides for cash

He'll no doubt be looking for a pay off, and wage difference from LFC whilst trying to get Fiorentina to cough up

IF a fee has been agreed I expect Aquilani and his agent to iron out a deal one way or another (assuming what I was told about him wanting to go back to Italy was true)

Maybe it's just me, but I always find those sort of comments utterly baffling when used in the context of someone whose apparently desperate to leave.

                        (If true of course).

It's perfectly explicable as a negotiating position, as Lecter suggests above.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I realize that which is why I added "if true".

                              11M Wow, what a pisstake.

Would shudder to think how much we lost on Aquiliani, Poulsen, Jova, konch, Jones and Cole in Wages and transfer fee's

EXCLUSIVE TMW - Criscitiello: "Aquilani summit ended. New"
                                25.07.2011 17:49 by Editor TMW

We have just concluded the summit in Monte Carlo from the Director General of Liverpool, Damien Comolli and Alberto Aquilani's agent, Franco Zavaglia. Was reported by our Director, Michael Criscitiello. "The two parties met in the early afternoon and are now in Nice to go home, one to Rome, one to England. Liverpool have confirmed that there are no plans for Aquilani in the Reds. Rises only one problem. If Fiorentina wants Aquilani, to take it outright and do not borrow or right of redemption. Zavaglia will only have one proposal for Corvino: for Aquilani to earn the same amount (8 million) in three years compared to two in Liverpool. " Will Fiorentina be able to afford this expense?
