Re: Aquilani. Reports in Italy claim he has accepted to spread €8m in wages over 3 yrs instead of 2. Negotiating golden handshake with LFC
Would shudder to think how much we lost on Aquiliani, Poulsen, Jova, konch, Jones and Cole in Wages and transfer fee's
The money we spent on transfer fees and wages on that lot could have got us Mata or Aguero...

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
The negotiating position I was referring to was his agent holding out for more money for him.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Why change the habits of a lifetime - he has no class.
He's really respected the way that the club took a huge risk in signing him, paid him £80k a week while injured and have already lost a **** load of money eh
If we lose Aquilani and Miereles and don't bring in at least one replacement I will be a little worried, because then we are just back where we started, with arguably similar players ability wise.

I can't imagine that we would sell both. I get the impression that the Meireles to leave rumours had about as much substance as those about Lucas. Much as I would like Aquilani to have had a chance here I think he is almost certain to leave.
What happens to Joe Cole is an interesting one for me.

I've got a feeling he'll be here after the window closes, but I'm not sure if that's because we want him or because we can't get rid of him
