Anyone who stands in the Kop, goes to the ground or watches on TV is good enough for me. You might move on to other things and you're passion for LFC mightn't be as all consuming as mine, but it doesn't matter. That day when you were there or even when you watched on Sky you were as red as I am, even though I'm born and bred, been going 35 years.

The most significant point of RTK is to get the Kop singing traditional songs again and everyone must surely back that?

Last game of the season last year a lad in 202 was so desperate he began singing "all I want is a Kop that fcuking sings" Now that to me is an absolute disgrace and breaks my heart.
So wherever you're from, however often you go, wether you take photos, wear jester hats or whatever, it just doesn't matter. Just sing and make the Kop what it should be because we lose an awful lot if we lose that.

      Back to lurking now.

Just to put another spin on this, AlunEvans touched on this a bit - IMO the some of the so called hardcore fans/scousers need a kick up the arse to. I agree with the original poster was trying to say. I get to 80% or so games a season, don't have my own season ticket but through various avenues I always managed to scramble a ticket for the majority of games. As a result I'm find myself sitting all over the ground. I have noticed an attitude amongst many(not all) season ticket holders, were because they go every week it's almost like they can't be arsed.

In other words get the Locals/ST holders/regulars etc in order first before having a go at the daytrippers. In my experience, when the away fans are chanting "Your support is ****ing ****" the daytrippers with not much experience look to the "hardcore" for help who in turn just sit there not arsed

I used to go in the middle of the Kop in the old days and only a very short distance from the middle practically no people were joining in the chants etc - which was why those that wanted to do so stood right in the middle. Above the old walkway across the Kop about two-thirds of the way up nobody ever sang.

For what its worth I agree with both Tink and PTP's posts.

If we had that wall of noise from the Kop that we get at most of the Euro games then I wouldn't hear the few who aimlessly chatter about other things, and the photos would be an irrelevance.

So I'm with you Tink. And I agree with PTP too. For me this isn't about having a go at out of towners, its more about having a go at those who go on the Kop and don't sing like a Kopite should.

Often are support really is "****ing ****" as the away fans claim.

Its not OOTers to blame for that.

exactly - it's ****ing embarrasing - most of tickets i get is in the annie road, so I am quite close to it - to be fair to the annie road end, mostly they will chant back but it's only a few thousand home fans when its should be 40000 - home league games(except for UTD, Everton, Chelsea, Arse) are dire affairs.

2moro I'm back in the Kop so will slap and anyone not singing

I sit next to 2 lads who work for the club. They are totally silent throughout the game unless on their phones. Behind me is some fat fella who chats with the woman next to him throughout the whole match. A couple of seats along from him are about 4 fellas who constantly chat on their phone or to each other. All of these are Scousers, so I agree with Alun that it's not an OOTer debate/ problem.

The Kop is **** to be in unless it's a big European game these days. Loads of folk say "oh I want to be in the Kop so I can hear the singing" - you don't go in there to HEAR it, you go in there to be part of it! Sing ffs!

My pet hates though are nobheads who sing "easy easy" and songs about teams we aren't fekin playing! Sorry lads, but most of that **** comes from the Anny Road End. I also can't abide it when folk start clapping before the end of YNWA. Women who dress up to go the game as well - ffs! And that's before I get started on the corporate nobs who occupy the HSS Hire centre Season Tickets (4 of them) to the right of me.

Give me an away match anyday!
                      I live with Steptoe.

You should, everyone should be able to.
What I said was it sounded to me like thats what the original poster was implying. Not what my view was.

good post mums - wtf is with clapping before YNWA ends, it happens every week.

have to disagree with one thing you say tho, I don't mind the women who get dressed up

I thinks its ridiculous to go to the match in basque stockings and suspenders, it puts me off my pie.

Oh and I don't sing with my mouthful
