I resigned myself toa draw before the game but after watching it, taking the result is so very painful.

Thats this place though, we cant just be unlucky, there has to be a load of players who are ****.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI think we played well, criticism of some of the players is extremely harsh - bar Carra who was hoofing it all game and conceded a stupid goal. We created enough chances to score at least 3 or 4. Referee cost us in the end as it was a definite handball. Then we were out of luck really.

I thought there were still plenty of encouraging signs, we are passing the ball about quite nicely. Never a penalty and we had enough chances to score. Even Suarez missed open goal FFS..!
Frustrating - yes, but it was simply one of those days (and it's Stoke / Cunttenberg) and we bossed them.
Calm down people..!

yet we controlled large parts of the game, we kept calm and played some decent stuff, another day the pen isn't given, another day Luis doesn't miss an open goal, henderson finds the net. plenty of positives. it's not like the dark away games when we were dire to watch. i still found plenty to enjoy. if we keep playing like that and the players have got to know each other better, we'll win plenty of matches. too many people want it all to instant. teams don't go from 6th to 1st within a summer break. a little reality is needed.
Oh and Coates won't be starting any league games soon, no ****ing way. the speed would of the league will find him out. he needs to watch from the bench and learn from close up. come january he'll be knocking on the door.

I don't know which infuriated me more, the hoofing or the pen. He'd be at home in the Stoke team.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI think we played well, criticism of some of the players is extremely harsh - bar Carra who was hoofing it all game and conceded a stupid goal. Seems there are a few who are finding some positives, but most will want to blame Charlie Adam etc. I like our style of play and am enjoying watching our footy again.Modifying post.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

But anyhoo, positives.
If Stoke don't get a lucky penalty, we are here discussing our lack of ability to finish a game off, but we talk about the chances we did create, our lack of luck and getting a point away from home and if we can get a result at Spurs, we're on target for four points out of a possible six in two tough away games.
So in essence, Clattenburg is to blame.Last edited by Muddled; 10-09-11, 05:11 PM.

I don't give a **** about anything else in this game, there is not a chance in hell the mancs would get treated this way by a referee. Not a ****ing chance, he let Stoke get away with everything, ****house fouls, ****house time delays, everything. That's the difference between losing 1-0 and winning 3-1.

and does this way of playing give you encouragement going forwards? I know ultimately its about putting it in the net, but I can see a total change in build up these days and its refreshing to see.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostYep 73% possession at their place is surely unprecedented.Always borrow money from a pessimist. Not a case of blaming Charlie Adam etc, but surely it is not incorrect to say that there were some below par permanences. Adam seems to fade after an hour, it has been noticeable in every game so far.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post
