That result really pissed me off. We ****ing hammered thm and lost due to a stupid ****ing mistake by carra. Adam was dire with his passing today and the lest said about the ref the better.

Like shaggy said we ****ing hammered them and i've never seen a teamdo that to stoke at their pace before.

Very disappointing and just goes to show that possession is not the ultimate statistic in football.

Thats a bit simplistic, Arsenal lost at Stoke last season and got top 4.

Drawing and losing these kind of games has been our accilese heel for years and years.

We will play worse and win.

I thought there were still plenty of encouraging signs, we are passing the ball about quite nicely. Never a penalty and we had enough chances to score. Even Suarez missed open goal FFS..!

it's stoke away, big players, long balls, very local home support, ****ing windy, long grass and tight touchlines. it is a ****ing hard away game. it was always going to be. similar in ways to when we played at wimbledon.

yet we controlled large parts of the game, we kept calm and played some decent stuff, another day the pen isn't given, another day Luis doesn't miss an open goal, henderson finds the net. plenty of positives. it's not like the dark away games when we were dire to watch. i still found plenty to enjoy. if we keep playing like that and the players have got to know each other better, we'll win plenty of matches. too many people want it all to instant. teams don't go from 6th to 1st within a summer break. a little reality is needed.

Oh and Coates won't be starting any league games soon, no ****ing way. the speed would of the league will find him out. he needs to watch from the bench and learn from close up. come january he'll be knocking on the door.

That's possibly because we don't win **** and lose to the likes of Stoke too often.

I think we played well, criticism of some of the players is extremely harsh - bar Carra who was hoofing it all game and conceded a stupid goal. We created enough chances to score at least 3 or 4. Referee cost us in the end as it was a definite handball. Then we were out of luck really.
                    Are we winning?

The performance is completely irrelevant, on another day we would've won that game 99 times out of 100. We have a team of tired internationals and er, they don't. A defeat like that won't hurt moral at all, quite the opposite. You could see how ****ed off we were. We have the fire back in our bellies. Onwards and upwards

We didn't play particularly well but we dominated the game

                                Corners.......12........2

                                I can't believe we lost

I thought we were poor in some area, final ball was poor at time, we wasted some very good chances. But if we had won that game by a couple of goals I don't think anyone could have had any complaints, we were unlucky IMO

Fair play to Stoke they defended extremely well, they got their goal and parked the bus very effectively
