Spurs were sharper and hungrier than us despite having played midweek. Kenny should be ****ing furious on that basis alone.

Sloppy in defence, we currently have no reliable CBs. Skrtel had an absolute mare, I'm not sure he was the best option at RB.

Not tenacious enough in midfield; Lucas is definitely a good ball winner but in relatively contained positions, Hendo cannot tackle and Adam can't do so cleanly. Downing is alright defensively but overall our midfield didn't shoulder enough responsibility.

Inability to link up with others from Carroll. Suarez isolated and frustrated. We need to act better as a unit - we seriously lacked cohesion even with 11 men.

Ref was a long way from card shy, but the players should be wise to it. Idiotic sending offs meant we had next to no chance. Adam really let us down.

It was our inability to stamp our authority on the game and get possession that had us chasing shadows even before the first red.

Results like this do highlight that we have some genuine evil, scum following us though which is a shame.

A Disastrous decision to play Skrtel vs. Bale, and even worse to play Downing/Henderson in front. It’s not as if the outcome was a subtle tactical nuance buried deep in the game that caught us by surprise. Terrible.

What a ****ing shambles. The performance of Skrtel cost us dearly. He clearly **** his pants against Bale. Interesting how other players were berating him for being out of position quite a few times. He went AWOL at right back at times. He was completely lost and that situation was never getting better. Kenny made a big mistake not changing it after 5 minutes. Put someone with pace there, never mind how their confidence will be affected.

Charlie Adam should never be allowed tackle again. Every game so far this season he has shown how poor of a tackler he is and it was inevitable, especially against a faster midfield that he would be found out. It didnt help that Lucas is not the fastest either. They were totally overrun. Henderson did better when he was central. He's not a wide man. Every pass is a square one.

I was prepared to give Carroll time but I'm rapidly losing faith. He is supposed to be this wonder in the air, but I've yet to see it. He's poor on the floor and he won virtually nothing in the air today. Enrique did brilliantly at the end to get down the line and get a good cross in but Carroll didnt get there in time. It seems to be more of a problem with him getting in the right positions. Needs to work on his anticipation, but that is a big concern.

I think Gerrard needs to come in behind Suarez, with Bellamy and Downing wide. The problem is both should be playing left, but we didnt get a right winger. Henderson can come in centrally with Lucas and try to protect the back 4. Looks like Agger is gone again so time to leave Coates in the team. Hopefully Flanagan can step up while Johnson is gone.

Huge reality check today. We are not the title challenging team we thought we might be and unless Kenny pulls off a big change we will struggle for 4th. Spurs looked better than us in every aspect. Disappointed with Kenny and Clarke today, but hopefully they learned a big lesson and will act.
