Carroll tackled more effectively today in midfield than Adam has in his full LFC career.

I said in the pre-match that I'd only be happy with Skrtel against Bale if we played 2 holders - ie Lucas and Spearing. Still stand by that decision. We were horribly narrow and set up incorrectly to play against a team with width. Fair enough if we start out badly, but to play the best part of 60 minutes with incorrect tactics is worrying more than anything. I thought Kenny had the nous and bottle to change things pro-actively but now I'm not so sure
Carroll is a terrible footballer and I really doubt he will make it with us
After a great start, Suarez is sulking and moaning at teammates like Nani, or a similar type of cunt. Not nice to see( not calling him a cunt btw)
We need to go back to what made us good under Kenny last season..that for me is Maxi in the side, Carroll on the bench, Kuyt back in, Spearing back in.Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Obviously, but wronglyOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostYes, it's baffling how little game time Maxi has been getting. I worry about the fact that Henderson cost so much, and wonder if this is keeping him in the side when his performances may not warrant it.
Spearing will get a chance now with Adam suspended and we'll see what happens, not that Wolves at home is an indication of anything compared to Spurs away

Strange comment this one seeing that Adam has been our most efficient tackler this season when looking at the stats.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostCarroll tackled more effectively today in midfield than Adam has in his full LFC career.
I've always wanted to have a Mattshark moment and I guess this is it.

Wont Stevie come in for Adam?Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostObviously, but wrongly

Wolves at home isnt in the same ballpark as Spurs away, for sure. However, if we win all the home games we 'should' win, it'll go a long way to getting the necessary points to finish in the top 4. Win 17 out of 19 home games, and you've only really gotta win about 6 away games to do it.
I'm not saying we'll win 17 out of 19 at home, but it's the bread & butter for us.

To be fair, we were losing before the red card today. Arsenal weren't.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostUtter tosh really, it's got **** all to do with the mancs result, we won away at Arsenal, which was a 'result' away from home - something you said we werent getting.
I love the way you take into account the impact of the sending off at Arsenal, but ignore the impact of us having TWO red cards today.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

We were 1-0 down due to a slow start by us and a good start by them. 1-0 is never game over.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWe were losing before the ref card today, to be fair. Arsenal weren't.
The red card killed off our chances though. Already losing and then being a man down made it nigh-on impossible for us. And Adam's first yellow was a joke of a decision.
I cant stand idiot refs who give bookings for things like that, and consequently put themselves in a difficult position for the rest of the game. Sheer idiocy.

I haven't looked at stats, so admit that this is based on impression during games. He was terrible against Stoke (tackling and distribution), for Scotland and today.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostStrange comment this one seeing that Adam has been our most efficient tackler this season when looking at the stats.

I'd hope he would be the one to drop out when Gerrard comes back, because he's been the worst of those playing in midfield so far. Lucas is reliable and Henderson hasn't done anything to look neither amazing nor terrible.

That point in itself is why Adam should play ahead of Henderson (in CM, at least). Because while Adam has had a couple of woeful games, when he's good, he has a positive impact on us, via creating goals/chances or even scoring himself. Cant really say that about Henderson IMO. He'll do alright, but will rarely influence things in a goal making/scoring capacity.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI haven't looked at stats, so admit that this is based on impression during games. And i know both have 1 goal for us so far, but i'm talking across the course of a whole season.

Crikey mate, are you being sponsored to be awkward and difficult of late?Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWell he didn't put himself in a difficult position, he just kept on giving yellows. He just put us in a difficult position.
By giving a silly yellow early in the game, he puts himself in a difficult position later on, within the context of referees not really wanting to send players off, and preferring to try and keep 22 men on the field. Which refs are meant to want to do.
