I'm glad we got the three points but disappointed we didn't score more goals, we should have won by more.

I thought Suarez had a great game and Carroll was much beter than he has been, it was just a shame he didn't get a goal.

Again we were poor in the second half, this is becoming a regular thing and is somewhat worrying!

Henderson was anonymous and shouldn't start the coming games, I genuinely forgot he was playing a number of times. I was also disappointed with Adam IMO he doesn't do his share of the defensive duties, he's ahead of the ball too much when the opposition are attacking.

May be down to players tiring, Suarez runs his socks off while Adam simply runs out of puff after about 60 mins, Henderson is always anonymous, all this puts enormous pressure on our defence. We have a **** engine.

Just got back from game... Little tipsy as had a few beers in town

Thought we were decent... Unlucky to not really put the game to bed... Thought Enrique was excellent again, Suarez brilliant and much improved from Carroll... He actualy contributed to the team, linked up well, unlucky not to score but it was positive from him... Massive boost to have gerrard coming back into the side as well as kelly

Negative were henderson who was pretty anonymous at times...he needs to be taken out the the starting xI for a bit and allowed some time to settle...kuyt has to start against everton and united, it'll be a pretty poor decision IMO if Henderson keeps his place Lee kuyt in two massive games

That's not about selection. I dont know how anyone can say we were '****' in the 2nd half, we could've easily scored 3 or 4 goals. Carroll hit the post, someone else hit the bar, Suarez had the one saved when the keeper flapped at the cross and it dropped to Luis.

I think it's because we were under the cosh for large parts of the game and that's maybe why people are saying we were "****".

We weren't **** as such but it wasn't great either. Wolves had us under the cosh for a good 10-15 minutes at one point and it didn't make for nice listening.

The main thing is we came out of that little spell and went on the offensive and finished pretty strongly so that's a positive for me.

I feel people think that because we are at home that Anfield is some kind of fortress whereby it isn't, it hasn't been a fortress for years.

Lots of teams come to Anfield now and dominate us for large parts of the game and I think we need to expect that rather than find it a shock. Sorry if that sounds negative but it's the truth, I'm just being realistic.

Anyway, **** it we won and that is the main thing.

It's the bitters next and we can have them, I think it will be a tough game but we can beat them for sure and we will.

Attacking wise we are there, especially if we have all of our first team squad fit. We play some real sexy football at times.

Defensively, I am not convinced yet . Of course it will take a bit of time for our team to gel to this new emphasis on attack approach. However I am not that convinced if the central spine of Lucas, Adam, Carra, Skrtel can handle the new attacking mentality. We will be under the cosh for quite a bit with that spine especially against decent midfields.

We don't have the greatest cb pairing in the league, but I think adam is th biggest problem when we play anything like 4-4-2. He's a decent player but he's not mobile enough, can't tackle for **** and doesn't track runners from the middle very well. Hopefully he'll respond to coaching and improve as the season develops.

For me, Gerrard comes in for Adam and Kuyt comes in for Henderson. Or possibly for Carroll, and therefore Henderson plays in CM with Lucas and Gerrard - or just with Lucas, and Gerrard plays off Suarez (with Kuyt wide right).

So basically:

Kuyt Gerrard Downing
Suarez

Or alternatively:

Lucas Gerrard Henderson

Suarez...............Downing
Carroll

But no place for Dirk.

Craig, I think the first option is very clearly our strongest option. And while a Suarez / Gerrard link up sounds amazing, a Gerrard / Carroll pairing should work well too. 4-4-2 does not really favour our best players
