I'm glad its out. Now the FA will be forced to act quicker, before Evra makes similar comments to French newspapers. Its downright ineptitude how long this has gone on for.



Its now clear the name is something Evra's teammates also use. Even if its racist then its not only Suarez that suffers but Evra's teammates too. Its ok to be casually racist among friends (among my Pakistani/Indian friends we're always calling each other Pak.i.). Obviously I wouldn't want an outsider to call me that but I can see the hypocrisy if this all came out in a court of sorts.

It could do, the FA could take action against him for talking about it. I just hope if they do it's a fine, rather than a ban. But if they punish Suarez they should also punish Ferguson...

More than that, he's basically admitting to calling Evra something - prior to these comments, there was no evidence whatsoever to back up the allegation, suddenly the gap is smaller.

There's alot of name calling goes on in a match. If the FA punish him for calling Evra a short arse or something, then the FA will find themselves very busy dealing with every such incident. To bring any kind of punishment they have to prove that he said something racist. For me this doesn't change anything.

That said IMO he should have kept his mouth shut, until it was all sorted out.
