Thanjk you.

I live on a residential campus of 250 students, 150 of them hold different passports from every major continent , I think over the past nearly 10 years I have lived with people form practically every corner of the world, every color, every creed, all flavors of sexuality from East Timor to Afghanistan, Swaziland to Oman, Its my opinion that we are all inherently racist.
Darkus Howe made a wonderful program on Racism and its rise in the UK and its has nothing to do with white people as is usually thought, in fact racism or acceptance of racist views has dropped dramatically for white people, no the whole program was on African on African racism, the tire system, that country is more important than that country etc etc ... and on African on Pakistani's and visa versa.
Travel to Jo Burg in South Africa and you will hear on the street, I wish those ****ing Zimbabweans with **** off back to there own country, come down here stealing our job etc etc, you can transport that story practically any place around the world.
One thing is for sure, racism is not right and we should all try harder to wipe it out, but no one is in a position to stand on a high moral ground and point the finger. IF any of one of us had our thoughts Audited for racist views I would be geneenly surprised if anyone pasted the sniff test
That all said, I do beleive racism has a lot to do with intention, as has already been rightly pointed out, there is a difference between racism and ignorance. My parents were ignorant on many issues but they were no racists, through travel, being around people of different colors religins etc, they changed completely, whilst in the 80s the amount of offensive stuff kicking around which was part of mainstream society was mind boggling, it was not uncommon to hear people of a certain generation especially in Ireland were for many years its population of people of color was 1 Paul McGrath say really dodgy things. Those same people 30 years on would not dream of using those words, why ? because they know better now and they are no longer ignorant of the issue of race and racism.
What gets my goat on this whole topic, for some reason racism is something I have always felt very strongly about from an early age, even thought I had not friends of color and was brought up in a for all extents and purposes white country. I digress, what gets my goat is how Muslims and people who look like Muslims or just Brown People are being treated right now around the world, all 1.5 Billion of them.
Excuse me Sir can you step over here for a moment please, Whats this about ... Ohh just a random stop sir... where are you coming from ... Here ... what do you mean Here .. The UK ... how long have you been in the UK ... All my Life .. and were are you original from .. THE ****ING UK
In years time we will look back at this time much like we do the 80s and think WTF

Also I will say it again, If the "English" Football Association charges a Latin American player with Racism for using the word Negrito, it will be the English FA who will be in the spot light for Racism, it will create and international incident, they will be effectively charging the entire Latino world with racism. Every Spanish person or South American I have spoken to have said it is not a racist term at all ..
It would be like the English FA charging a French player for saying somehthing in French which sounded like a bad English word .. Smacks of ironically Ignorance and Arrogance
