Pretty much agree with everything on the first page here. Typical LFC performance over the last 20 years really.

Our set up was wrong. Downing playing on the right again ffs.
The subs were baffling. Bellamy off and then bringing Agger on near the end so Enrique could play left midfield?
Yet again we create chances and can't finish teams off. We should've been five up before half time. We need a goalscorer - a Darren Bent type player. I was thinking earlier how the Torres of 2007-09 would've scored almost every chance that Suarez had today.
Our defence is creaky. Agger has to start if he is fit. You don't leave your best defender on the bench when you've got two CB's that are so inconsistant. Reina was all at sea for the goal too.
Carroll... how he missed that header near the end is beyond me. £35m ffs.
Maxi again can't get a sniff. Yet he was one of our best players between February and May last season.
How can you bring on a central defender, play him left back, move the left back to left midfield (after you've taken off your left midfielder who played on the right of midfield to accomodate a forward who was stuck on the left of midfield)?
Adam is proving to be the average player that we all thought he was.
Everyone knows that Gerrard's best position is as an attacking midfielder. He played okay in the deeper role today, but with him there you're losing a goal threat. And we can't afford to do that.
****ing fortunes spent on average players who can't even scrape a win against Norwich.

It was just so LFC today. We're our own worst enemy.

No idea fella. One of three bizare subs. Apart from Agger, I didn't have a problem with Henderson or Carroll coming on. It was who went off and when, that made no sense. It was as if someone was down to their last few chips at a casino trusting on some devine desperate inspiration above any thought or consideration to what was actually happening on the table.

Nobody tries to see any positives..

1-1 at Home to the Mancs and it's a result, 1-1 at Home to Norwich and the knives are out..

The frustration comes from not putting our chances away.. Nothing to do with the signings, although I do think Carroll's days could be numbered if he doesn't start banging them in soon..

A lot of new signings means we are still gelling as a team, add Gerrard back into the mix and it's still early days..

I do think we'll still finish 4th but we'll need an out and out finisher and a pacey, natural right winger to really compete..
I don't think that sounds as unreasonable as you intended to be honest.

I'm sure we'll see that relationship with what we have now later on in the season. As I said, I think our strike force is good, just not clicking yet.

Meireles wanted to leave. So **** him.

Big mistake selling Meireles, big mistake. Even if he wanted to leave then we should have forced him to stay.

We can't give in for player power every time. We didn't need to sell. Adam doesn't come close being as good as Meireles.

A point at home to the team that won the league last season is different from a point at home to a team who were just promoted.

But it's the same story for all of these draws and defeats. We ran out of puff in the second half. We have a very unfit team. Or a team not using their energy efficiently....

I don't think the team is unfit. We often play with two against three in the middle. That means that our central midfielders must do a lot of covering.

It is more a tactical mistake. We don't have the midfield to play 4-4-2 and yet we are doing it.

                      You must wonder why?

Play three in the middle like against Man U and the players last the whole game.

                        Thanks mate.

I never usually post in these sort of threads but I needed to vent today.

One thing though that nobody has mentioned - what about the Adam run into their box where he 'megged the full back and barged over in the box? I've only seen it once or twice on TV but that looked like a definite penalty to me.

                            It was Suarez.

Difficult for Carroll to start banging them in when he's given about 12 minutes. I'm convinced he would of got scored had he started, he also had a great effort when he did come on. Midgets like Bellamy & Suarez are never going to win headers.

A lot of new signings means we are still gelling as a team, add Gerrard back into the mix and it's still early days..
How long can the 'gelling' excuse be valid for though (6 weeks?, 6 months?, 2 years?), I'd say they've had enough training & match time already though.

I do think we'll still finish 4th but we'll need an out and out finisher and a pacey, natural right winger to really compete..
Not a hope in hell, although Newcastle are there now - won't be long before Spurs seal it.

1-1 at Home to the Mancs and it's a result, 1-1 at Home to Norwich and the knives are out..
Don't think many people saw Mancs game as a result, indeed almost every post, comment I've seen on the game saw it as a loss.

Kenny's poor choice of substitutes and timing are a major factor in not winning. Don't know what his obsession is with Henderson.
